We do not try to be another cookie-cutter hotel, but a haven with local flavor, great guests and great nearby restaurants in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to all there is to do in New Orleans.

Hi, Catherine. Thank you for the great review. We loved having you stay with us.The Lower Garden District is indeed a transitional area. We are between the CBD (Arts District) and the Garden District. We are mostly residential which is why it is so quiet and restful here. There are no major tourist attractions, but we have some amazing restaurants. The hotel is near both the historic St. Charles Ave. Streetcar and the Magazine St. bus. Just about everything in the city is easily accessed from here without all the hustle and bustle.The Creole Gardens is almost 200 years old and a historic property. We are constantly maintaining and improving as is needed by all ladies of a certain age.Margaret was a most interesting person. She is worth a few minutes spent reading about her and her contributions to the children of the city.We look forward to seeing you next time.
