"Our stay was wonderful. Everything had a personal touch and was welcoming and clean. The area was peaceful and the view is beautifully surrounded by trees. The house slept 8 of us comfortably. 3 bathrooms made getting ready easy and the washer and dryer was a great extra touch. AC worked great and there were throw blankets available. The kitchen was stocked with nice extras like coffee, tea, waters, and cereal/oatmeal. There were a lot of games to play and a full game room downstairs. The house is everything you see in the pictures. Highly recommend!"

Nevada City Retreats: Mama Bear's Cabin.

"This is a super cute cabin! Very cozy and extremely charming. No cell service, which didn't bother us on this short trip, and connectivity returns about two minutes in to the roughly 7-8 minute drive in to town. It *is* right next to one of the handful of summer camps in the area, so there is rambunctious camp noise in the morning during summer camp season, but that doesn't bother us- at home we live right behind a big park where camps happen over the summer and multiple concurrent little league and soccer games occur during their respective seasons.The beds were a bit saggy on the first night- I was joking that it felt like an actual bear slept in the one we slept in and i was sleeping in a pit. But to our relief, in the morning I discovered that there was a memory foam topper on top of the mattress, which, when removed, made it no worse than the majority of VRBO or hotel mattresses I've experienced over the years and improved my second night's sleep by miles.Overall, we loved it and would totally stay here again! Super cute, super sweet, super cozy, and probably spot on what most people would think of when one says the word "cabin". Just far enough from town to feel pretty isolated at night, but close enough to know that it's not."

"It’s right in the center of Broad Street with a really nice cafe downstairs that’s open at 7:00am every day and has fantastic homemade bacon breakfast burritos. The room is clean and beautiful. I had some difficulty at first getting into the building and into my room with the respective codes. The trick is to wait until the door entirely stops buzzing and only then push it open. The other thing that would be an improvement is to upgrade the sheets to 100% cotton. The existing sheets in my room were, I think, some kind of thin microfiber which slipped down and away from me both nights so that I ended up sleeping directly under the cotton duvet."
