They would make up the 3rd sofa bed every day. Sometimes cleaned the room even after e went out for a short trip, like they do on cruise ships.

This is a nice hotel with a fabulous location. Our room was attractive. my only critique was that the sofa and coffee table in the room were very worn. The bathroom was great; bed was good; nice view and reasonably quiet even though on the piazza side (which was fun to watch). First night heater did not work but after my second call bellman came up and fixed it. Breakfast was very nice. I would stay here again despite coffee table falling apart. Good place

Bar is very nice, but there is no restaurant.
Have to pay extra for cooked eggs.
Standard doubles are very small.

10-15 min walks to most tourist attractions. Beds are firm. AC has already been turned off for the season but weather was cool so it was ok. Breakfast is a good spread of traditional Italian breakfast. You can leave luggage with the front desk if checking in early or checking out late. Shares a driveway/road with the Parliment, so there may be demonstrations, but they are contained and small with no impact to guests. Sharing space with the Parliment also meant more police and national guard presence around the clock.

Great central location.
Awesome breakfast and for a North American the best morning coffee.
