Easy going. Clean. Nice breakfast. I am vegetarian and I was a bit limited but made do. A lot of fish/meat dishes. Skiing: easy free shuttles from the hotel and back. They have cheaper lift tickets for sale at the hotel. Had a nice home cooked meal nearby. The only issue is most of the laundry machines were out of service and the one available took 4 hours and the clothes were still damp. The Onsen was beautiful with an outside area to watch the snowfall. Staff are very helpful, facility is nice including the Onsen. Location near echoland makes nightlife easy. The caravan type bathroom smelt awful (like sewarage)and the bed covers hadn't been washed in a while! Water in shower scalded my back, thank goodness it wasn't a baby/child :( Told reception staff and showed them the burns but they couldn't care less. Breakfast was just ok.
