"A really good hostel just outside the main city of Bergen but a short walk away to bus transport and also a small Bunnpris shop for food items, etc. Was perfect for my weekend in the area, especially with even being close to the Ulriken mountain tram/path to the summit - staff were helpful with check in/out, plus the shared female dorm room I stayed in was comfortable and with a good toilet/shower room and bunkbeds. And of course the free breakfast was perfect to have too in starting my day and...

"The location is excellent. The self-service was a bit concerning, especially as there were issues when we first tried to check in, but everything worked out. The room was very comfortable with supportive but soft beds and a nice shower. Overall a lovely stay."

"Check in wasn't easy as the info provided via the booking company ( not the hotel) was wrong...we had to get help from staff at the hotel, which was fine because we arrived at a time of day when someone was available. Once inside, we were able to stow our luggage, and return later, to once again find the check in system wouldn't work...according to the person on duty, this was the fault of the booking company.. VERY irritating. However, both members of staff who helped us were extremely professional. The room we had was spotless, comfy( although not incredibly warm). Good shower and very comfy bed. No kettle in room, but free access to coffee machine in the lobby( no tea though...we're English and love our morning cuppa😉). All in all, a pretty good hotel for the price."

"The location is amazing but the hotel itself was okay. We arrived 5 weeks into a country wide strike of hotel workers. This was not made clear to us at any point prior to our check in via email or alternative communication. We were told at the time of check in that we would get irregular room cleaning based on housing staff availability. We were caught off guard but since we already were there we weren't going to cancel our room. Since we were told there would be inconsistent room cleaning we decided to prioritize the middle of our trip to refresh the room. The front desk gentleman said he'll make a note and ask the housekeeping staff. It was not cleaned that day. We then followed up in the evening and were told that there would be no housecleaning at all during our stay. Eventually one of the front desk staff was courtesy enough to offer to refresh our room herself. She went above and beyond and we are appreciative of her efforts. However being misled at the time of check in and then 1-2 days into our stay to be told differently about cleaning offerings left a sour taste for our stay. If we knew there was no housekeeping we would have opted for an airbnb instead. Other issues - the room AC were warm despite being at the coldest settings. The rooms are very cramped. All of their base rooms are listed at 161 square feet. Which is basically 1 queen sized bed + barely enough room for two check in bags open on the floor."

"Corridors were indeed tricky to navigate. The bar on the 3rd floor is great when it is open. We had a room with tub/shower with a very slippery floor. We ended up putting a towel down in the tub but there should be a rubber mat. Dialing 9 often got you an extended wait with no answer. Room service is a process. No menu in the room and my daughter had to go to the restaurant to order. Front desk staff very helpful when they are there. There wasn’t someone there at all times. Great central location and the breakfast Buffett was excellent."
