A Hidden Gem That Exceeded Expectations

Gorgeous location with an amazing building. The owners/hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. A truly unexpected surprise, the pictures online don’t do it justice. Would definitely recommend!

Villa Oleanna is magical. The view from the room, the view from around the property is amazing and mesmerizing. The rooms are terrific, the entire property is wonderful. And the proprietors are caring, warm and everything one would want in a place to stay. Sitting outside with a capuccino looking out at the fjord as the sun sets--- Wow. We will go back as soon as we can.

I love the place... my room had a fantastic view over the water to the small islands... the 2 terrasses for all were great... the boathouse is also fantastic....and the huge kitchen with the dining area is spacious and also has great views... I enjoyed every minute there....also the hosts are both very kind and open... just perfect

My rental car broke down which meant I wasn't going to get in until very late. Frode was very responsive when I messaged him to let him know this. He sent very specific check-in instructions and that was extremely helpful! His place is like going to a spa. It's beautiful and the water view calmed me down after a long travel day. I would highly recommend his place!!!

We loved our stay at Villa Oleanna. Svanhild & Frode were such gracious hosts. The property views are amazing and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Each of our kids had their own room and we had a open concept bedroom/ living room/kitchenette area. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony views and common areas are great as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Spent 2 amazing nights here (family of 4). Wonderful owners who were so welcoming. Spacious rooms with breathtaking views of the fjord. Wonderful common area with access to impressive kitchen. Breakfast was hard boiled egg, ham, cheese, rolls, peppers, tomatoes, coffee, tea, juice and milk. Wonderful waterfalls to explore within area. A very winding road to get to but worth the drive. Highly recommend this charming place.

Super friendly ! We loved the views , it was not a room we have a small department very comfortable! We travel with my husband and two teens and we loved it! Very relax ! It is place to enjoy. It is 20 min from Bergen you will need to have a car ir is not easy to get in. Highly recommend it!

This place was beautiful! The host is super polite and helpful! Highly recommend and if we ever go back to Norway definitely staying here again. The only minor issue is Expedia advertising one price and then charging extra for more than one person. So look at the prices before you book. Not the owners or the propertys fault though.

Spacious bright two bedrooms with a large patio overlooking lake. Linens, kitchenware, toiletry, furniture are all top notch and exceed what one would expect from a rental. Owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Norway in September turned out to be a disappointment after eight days of rain in a row, but our staying at this place for three days was the best part of it. We spent most of our time in the unit and liked our time there more than the other two places we have been to so far.

The rooms & location are absolutely beautiful, Frøde was very kind and welcoming. I would caution 2 things: 1) that parts of it are still under construction (Aug 2022) And 2) The road to get there is incredibly narrow (think smaller than a normal 1 lane road in the US but it's 2 ways - with busses) and there is very little parking. So if you are driving, I'd recommend a smaller vehicle and you need to be very confident with driving/parking! The best food near by is in Os at Ilya Kafe for food - cute atmosphere, good service & delicious food!

Horrible & Unsafe !!

My worst lodging experience ever. Surprised that they’re even allowed to offer to stay. This place is still recovering from a fire incident and being reconstructed. We didn’t get the room we booked online and instead got some other room. We were in a big group and the other family who came with us had even worse experience. The water was not sanitized and the heating/cooling system didn’t work. Seems like the couple who lives there are just renting out some rooms to make some money as a side hustle.
