Renovated May 2017. A charming cottage located in the heart of Shem Creek just over the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. This pet friendly cottage consists of 2 bedrooms each with queen size beds and one bathroom. Living area opens into the kitchen with a dining table for four and traditional coastal cottage decor. A complete renovation of the property, brand new furnishings, great outdoor space and the proximity to great views, activities and food make this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy the spacious yard while dining al fresco or walk to one of the great restaurants near by. This property is located a block from the waters of Shem Creek and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards from a vendor right at the waters edge. Within a 3 block radius there are 18 restaurants and bars, 2 coffee shops, a beverage super store, a farmers market, and 2 antique malls. The heart of downtown Charleston is a 12 minute drive and the beach at Sullivan's Island is 3 miles away. The Historic district of the Old Village is walking distance and offers many beautiful antebellum homes, several nice shops and a first class restaurant. Great Location
We had such a lovely weekend in Mt. Pleasant. We walked to restaurants and Shem Creek Park from the house. We walked to the pick-up point for the sunset cruise we planned. Easy drive to downtown Charleston as well. The house was great, it was just as described. We would definitely stay again.

Joe’s place is in perfect location near Shem creek, downtown Charleston and the beaches. Loved the cute yard and space for the dog, loved we could walk to many restaurants, and loved the cleanliness of the property! Great find!

This cottage was exactly as described in the listing. It was easy to find and clean. Instructions for check in and check out were very clear. The location is convenient and within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Uber very accessible.

Cozy and convenient!
This property is a gem. Just blocks from Shem Creek, you can easily walk to a slew of awesome restaurants. In terms of driving, so easy to get to both Charleston and the beaches in no time and there's plenty of parking at the house. The home itself was comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and as described. We'll certainly be back-- maybe in cooler months so we can take advantage of the awesome fire-pit area in the backyard.

Lacks a welcoming feel. The owner wants guest to strip bed and start a load of towels. That should be a no no. Besides the towels are so stained they should be thrown away.That alone is a turn off. No napkins, no tissues all says no welcome. Little things matter. The front porch furniture is falling apart should be replaced

Beautiful, clean, conveniently located house!
Everything was easy from start to finish. We loved our stay in this pet-friendly home, which was exceptionally clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located to local restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again. There is also a cute outdoor area. The location felt safe and the doors, windows, and locks were all secure. Easy, prompt communication with the owner. We had no issues at all -- we just communicated to extend our stay.

Cozy house in a great location with thoughtful owners. The house had everything we needed for a 6 week stay and was within walking distance of top rated restaurants and night spots. It’s also less than 4 miles from beaches on Sullivan Island or Isle of Palms (and more great restaurants). Owner responded immediately to calls or questions. And the best part is that it is pet friendly.
