STR Permit #ST260068 S.C. BUS. LIC. #20137920 (2025-2026) Welcome to the Coastal Cottage! This spacious, family friendly house is located in the charming Old Mount Pleasant neighborhood. It’s only 3 miles to Sullivan’s Island Beach, 6 miles to downtown Charleston, and less than 2 miles to Shem Creek which has many dining options, shops, and beautiful views of the water! This single story brick home is privately situated on a quiet street in Old Mount Pleasant. With 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms it’s the perfect place for groups or families of 8 or more people. It has a large circle driveway and parking available for multiple vehicles. The backyard has been recently renovated to include a large saltwater pool with tanning ledge, 4 Ledge Lounger chairs, and 8 pool chairs to sit back and relax. The pool is surrounded by artificial turf and a putting green with 4 holes on the side of the yard. There is a deck off the back of the house with a propane grill and an outdoor table with umbrella and 6 chairs. Inside the home there are vaulted ceilings in the main living spaces and master bedroom. The kitchen has an 11 ft island for the best of entertaining! The full kitchen has a refrigerator, stovetop double oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, knife set, and many items for cooking and baking. There’s a coffee bar with a Keurig K Mini Plus coffee maker with complementary K-cups for your first morning. There’s also a Black & Decker drip coffee maker with filters provided. The spacious living room has a large sectional couch, 65” smart TV with all your streaming apps (Disney +, Hulu, Netflix, and Prime Video). The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, smart TV, and private bathroom with large soaking tub and walk-in shower. Bedroom 1 has its own small private full bathroom with shower. Bedroom 2 has a smart TV with streaming apps. There is a laundry room with a GE washer and dryer. There is also a kids playroom with a futon that pulls out to a twin sized bed. \* This house can sleep 10 people total. There are 3 queen sized beds and 1 king sized bed. Also, there are other sleeping options which could be on the futon in the playroom/office (pulls out to a twin bed), the large convertible bean bag chair in the living room opens to a full foam mattress bed, or on the sectional couch. We will provide pillows and linens for all guests listed on the reservation. \*\* The backyard is a fully fenced in 1/2 acre. There is a large 15x30 ft pool with an oversized tanning ledge. The depths range from 3.5 ft to 5 ft. The pool can be heated upon your request for an additional $300 only if the air temperature stays above 60 degrees F. Also, we have a camera placed on the pavilion in the backyard for safety and liability reasons. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is NOT allowed in this house. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is ONLY permitted outside of the property, but please try to keep at least 10 feet from the doors. This house is located in a quiet, charming, family-friendly neighborhood. Please be mindful of our wonderful neighbors by keeping noise to an appropriate level when enjoying the backyard and outdoor spaces. Live bands and loud music are NOT permitted in the backyard at any time. Mount Pleasant has a strict noise ordinance in place. The daytime limit is 60 decibels which starts at 8 a.m., dropping to 55 decibels after 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and after 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. This means absolutely no yelling or screaming in the backyard at anytime and being mindful of your noise level when enjoying the outdoor space. We encourage guests to leave their shoes by the front door under the long bench when coming into the house. If you’re wearing high heels they must be taken off when in the home because we don’t want them to damage the hardwood floors. Please let us know if there is anything that breaks or is damaged during your stay so we can replace or fix it right away. We played ping pong, swam and played in the wonderful pool lounged on the patio and played with the outside toys. The house is located a short drive to Sullivans Island, grocery shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is well outfitted which we appreciated since we had 4 young children. We ate lunches out and dinners in. The beds were comfortable as were the inside and outside furnishings. Unfortunately we wanted to bbq but the grill is basically unusable. The home was spacious and very comfortable. The backyard was a winner for all age groups. We enjoyed the pool, putting green and the wonderful covered setting area with outdoor TV. We had everything we needed in the house, even shampoo, body soap and conditioner were supplied. The backyard, where we spent the majority of our time, was AMAZING! The pool was big with umbrellas for shade. The seating area was great. We sat there every morning and drank coffee. There was a pingpong table and putt putt. We grilled one night on the gas grill. I cannot say enough good things about this house. We walked to Sullivan’s Island (2.7 miles) one morning. We took an Uber to downtown Charleston and ate at the Blind Tiger. It was clean and perfectly appointed with all the necessary items to feel at home. The backyard oasis was perfect for lounging. We did not get to use the pool due to the time of year but definitely would if we had stayed during the summer months. James, the owner, was great to work with.
