We went to the hotel restaurant after travelling and found it and the menu to be a bit more upscale than what we were looking for. We opted to leave the restaurant and mentioned to the bartender at the bar in front of the restaurant (who was also the waiter in the restaurant that night as the regular waiter had called in sick) that we were looking for something more casual. This was a great stop on our way to Canada for the family. We only stayed one night and didn't want to spend a lot for a quick stop. This place was perfect and my 8 year old daughter loved the rustic, log cabin feel. The room was quite large, had a great bathroom, fireplace, DVD player and back porch. We had breakfast across the street at Mirbeau (same property, but much fancier) and it was great. Short drive to the shops.

The property is beautiful, with both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Corey (owner) and Katie are wonderful hostesses. The room we had is small but comfortable and well equipped. It's an old place with sloping floors and low ceilings, but updated with a great combination of old and new. The only suggestion I would have is that if you have mobility issues, go for one of the ground floor rooms.
