My husband and I were very impressed as soon as we arrived. Benjamin already knew who we were by names without having to show any booking documents. All staff were extremely professional and friendly greeting us with a smile. They were all very helpful with information like providing tour guidances, places to dine, etc. The whole compound is out of the world. I can't believe this property is only a 2 star! The rooms are very basic, but they are very charming and just for sleeping and showering anyhow. We had no trouble sleeping, was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The wine and food offered for purchase was affordable and very good. Staff was helpful and kind. We drove all over exploring the towns in Chanti. There's so many wineries if we had more time we would have booked a tour. The pool and views at this place are amazing....

Absolutely loved Siena and the surrounding area. The Villa del Sole was the perfect choice. The location in Siena provides a beautiful view. The breakfast was very nice, especially the coffee of which I had many cups. The best part was the graciousness of our host Gianluca. He was very helpful in learning about the area, things to see, places to eat and just a lovely person. To me this is the best part of a trip to Tuscany. 10++/10. Staff was wonderful. Travelling to any city can be daunting with a car in Italy, especially dealing with restricted zones, but the hotel explained how best to park and they dealt with all issues regarding ZLT driving restrictions. 10/10, 10/10, 10/10 …… from Canada.
