"Comfy beds. Wi-Fi was great. If you’re using Google maps load your destination into your phone before leaving the property… the cell signal is too weak when driving away from the property for the next 20 km or so, for Maps to work well. As a result, it’s easy to take a wrong turn and miss your tee time. "

"My family and I loved our stay at this cottage. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful, with tonnes of wildlife to enjoy, and great for stand up paddle boarding (my favourite activity was looking for turtles in the shallows while riding one of the paddleboards).  The cottage has comfortable bedrooms, a cozy living room, and a wonderful, well stocked kitchen. There are great views of the lake from the dining room, deck and yard. Val des Bois has lots of amenities, including two great ice cream places that my kids loved. We'd definitely come back. Thanks for the great vacation!"

"The location of this property is excellent. Access to the cabins is easy, with only a short drive down a gravel road. The lake is beautiful, and the cabins are well positioned to provide a wonderful view overlooking the water.The cabins themselves, however, could use some upkeep. The screened porch had tears in the door and wouldn’t close properly without lifting it, which allowed bugs to get in at night. The cabin with a loft also had a noticeable musty smell, though it did improve when we kept the windows open. The beds in all the cabins were quite uncomfortable, which made sleeping difficult. On the positive side, the kitchens were well equipped with everything we needed for cooking.The outdoor amenities were also showing signs of wear. The seating was limited to a few aging camping chairs and a picnic table. While there were two paddle boards available, one of them had a leak and couldn’t be used reliably.Overall, the location and views are outstanding, but the cabins and outdoor equipment would benefit from some repairs and upgrades to make the stay more comfortable."
