« Nous avons été bien accueillis. L'hôtel est un ancien manoir situé dans un bel environnement. L'après-midi, nous nous sommes retrouvées seuls dans cet hôtel ! Nous avions l'impression d'être des châtelains. En dehors de la propriété, il faut faire des kilomètres pour trouver de quoi se restaurer correctement (le dimanche soir, l'hôtel ferme son restaurant). Nous avons passé une nuit très calme... »

« Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

Surtout ne pas chercher à entrer en voiture A Durham le "park and ride" est très bon marché et le bus vous dépose en plein centre ville (pour 2 £ par jour) »

« I can honestly say everything was perfect with the room, it was beautiful, clean, all the amenities you needed was there, front of house was well mannered and polite when we arrived. I had requested for room to be decorated alittle special as it was our anniversary, and my request was granted so if you do want to stay somewhere and make it special always ask they are happy to help. Only one slight problem with the room is the noise level from other rooms, you were able to hear walking around,...
