"I made this booking at the very last minute. The room was lovely and is ideal for accessing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the wineries in Nelson County. Bed was comfy, bathroom good, and had a microwave and fridge. There is no on site staff, which would not have been a problem except I booked very very last minute. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com and email to get my room code. That process took 2 hours or so which was reasonable. Only issues during the stay were that...

"My family of 4 only stayed one night on a long trip. It was very clean, staff was friendly, and my boys enjoyed the indoor pool. We had a quick breakfast(bagels, muffins, cereal) the next day and left. I would stay here again."

"The location and breakfast is very convenient. We’ve stayed here twice before and when we paid the fee for our pet dog, they gave us a little doggy gift, which I thought was very nice. But they didnt do that this time. Room was clean but stuffy smell and loud AC. I think the HVAC needs some attention. Though overall good, We will likely look for another place nice time around."

"Every single thing was phenomenal- Clean and organized. AC, microwave, fridge, TV work great. Hot water great. All the amenities is great except the coffee. The coffee is basically water, too watery, and that is true in more than 5 different Motel 6 I've been from Harrisonburg, Staunton, Charlottesville, Richmond, and around Petersburg' area. A bit of improvement in the coffee makes everything perfect!!!!"

"Building was a little dated but was clean. Shower had good pressure and water was hot. TV was good and clear. We stayed 2 nights but did not eat breakfast or usethe pool. Front desk was friendly and kind. It was right off interstate 81. It is within a few miles of the frontier culture museum and President Woodrow Wilson museum. I would recommend visiting both of those. The price for the hotel was very reasonable for this time of year. 166 for 2 nights. I would recommend this hotel"

"Location was great, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in code before arriving as there’s spotty Wi-Fi so we couldn’t even call the host. We drove down the road until we got LTE bars on cell phone and then we could check in. Bed was comfy, shower good. Lots of privacy; didn’t hear the neighbors in the cabin next to Dripping Rock. Didn’t use the big tub. Loved the quiet location & all the fireflies. Saw lots of deer & bunnies. Arrived during the Canadian wildfire smoke so that obscured a lot of views. Be sure to visit nearby Sherando (?) Lake nearby: nice beach, outdoor shower, swim to an island, hike trails around it (no lifeguard so be attentive), campsites, picnic tables. Glad we picked it and way quieter than the massive Wintergreen resort."
