I believe i got bed bug bites from the bed as i have red swollen welts on my neck. The bed barely had any bedding. A thin sheet and a thin blanket. The bathroom wasn't clean. No thin thing of soap for the body. The tub had chip paint. The breakfast was subpar with watery eggs and make it yourself waffles. Many of the juices weren't working. For almost 200 bucks, I expected more. Never again and I would advise people to stay away. The Econo Lodge building is not as nice as Quality Inn. As soon as we walked into the Econo Lodge building it reeked of marijuana, I felt like I was walking into a stoner’s den. The building backs up to the bottom of a hill that someone could walk up to your room window undetected, I did not feel secure. For a basic city in the heart of the Shenandoah there is a lot of hidden gems to discover. The Econo lodge is nothing to write home about but I found it to be well worth the cost. It smelled of weed, mildew and cigarettes. The lock on the door was barely hanging on and there was a junction box on the floor for the air unit that was uncovered and a screw was barely touching the wall. The shower curtain rod had previously been ripped off the wall and was crooked. The carpet was ripped, chairs were shredded from pets, I’m assuming. The tv was the size of a computer monitor. I will say that it appeared to be clean in the bathroom and the bed was also. Most hotels were booked so we gave it a try. Seriously, great. Only thing is that there were indeed sometimes shady people outside. You can hear them talking loudly, rarely but it did happen. One time even one of the staff members said I should wait a moment before I had headed outside to my car because someone was outside. We stayed at Econo Lodge in Waynesboro, VA. The mattress was uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. Our bed only came with three pillows instead of four. The tub had scuff marks.
