It is three easy blocks to the light rail and close to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, trails, breweries and restaurants. The duplex was built in 1925 and maintains its original art deco feel. The dark woodwork, door hardware, North and South side piano windows, winding staircase and hardwood flooring throughout the home are inviting and warm. The windows on three sides of the living room provide a fun "tree house" view of the lovely homes on our quiet street and make a great spot to relax or work in the afternoon sunshine. The deck off the second bedroom faces the back yard is the perfect place to spend a summer evening. There are two bedrooms. Bedroom #1 contains one queen sized bed and ceiling fan. Bedroom #2 has two twin beds. Both rooms have dressers and closet space. The spacious living room includes lots of comfortable seating, flat screen TV, DVD player and Netflix access. There are also a variety of games and books for guests to use. The full kitchen is clean, updated and provides items needed to cook meals. It has a full sized refrigerator, oven, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom is a typical size for the era and has a deep tub with a shower. The dining room boasts a classic plate shelf and two large West facing windows that bring in the afternoon light. We were in town to do a college visit at the University of Minnesota. The property was an easy ten minute drive to the U and conveniently located off of I-94, which is why we picked this rental. Check-in was easy with abundant street parking available. The rental was very clean and looked even better in person than it does in the pictures. The two bedroom set-up was perfect for my husband and I and our two children for our two-night stay. It's located in a very quiet, residential area that felt very safe to us. The only downside is that we didn't really find any restaurants within walking distance of the unit. But other than that we really loved this rental and would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. One thing that I would mention is that although the unit sleeps 4 people and is advertised as such, there is an additional $15 charge per night for the third and fourth guests. Not a dealbreaker for us, but just something to keep in mind if you decide to reserve this property. ##### Jessica G. It reminded me of an Aunt's home in Minneapolis. It was clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed (including a tea pot). The bedding smelled great and the bed was comfortable. It was a perfect location between Brooklyn Center and Inver Grove Heights where I was driving between every day. My son and I spent part of one day enjoying recommendations close by the home as well.
