ATV and Snowmobile Trails come right to Balsam Hill Cabins. The Cabins are right on the old Stagecoach Road that is 220 years old. We just fixed Old County Road to the Cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and from Downeast Sunrise Trail ATV and Snowmobile accessible. Find us on YouTube Wild animals & cabins. Cabin 10’by10’ built with reclaimed rustic distressed natural weathered lumber, private, fire pit, benches, picnic table and hammock. The Cabin is 100’ from Old County Road and 200’ from the parking area. A cell phone booster is at the campground which works good and runs all the time and no wifi or power at the cabins off grid. Shower is located at the cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane cooking stove, extra propane, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and plush blankets, sleeping bags and comforters. Cooking pan with cover, frypan, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, cooking utensils, knife set, silverware set, mixing bowls, vegetable peeler, can opener, barbecue utensils, paper plates, paper cups, matches and cooler. Shower and Porta Potty is at the Cabins. 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. No Out of State Maine Firewood. Bathroom Towels are located in your Cabin. Please message me to buy firewood and prepay for wood anytime to be delivered to the wood shed. 🪵 Firewood 🔥 $7 bundle and $20 for 3 bundles Collecting fire wood from the woods is not permitted and please extinguish the fire when you go to bed or leave the cabin and No out of State firewood allowed No taking the indoor furniture outside. No taking the outdoor furniture inside. Please Do Not Touch”, “Do Not Remove” or “Please Do Not Open.” Do not unscrew, remove, open or tamper with any locked doors or restricted areas throughout the property. Any evidence of failure to cooperate will result in a $2,500 fine. Only dogs allowed on lease at all times and clean up after your dog and do not leave your dog alone. Do not tie your dog outside. No dog in or on the bed. Beautiful area and close to many hiking trails in parks and preserves. I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It was hard to find the place and we drive buy it at first because it looked like a homeless camp with an old beat up camper out front and an outhouse. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and when I reached out to host for even a partial refund, she said I should have read the description better, that it was all explained in the description and dozens of positive reviews proved that people Love you the “Off-grid” rustic camping motif, and I should have brought my own bug spray repellent, so it was my fault.
