My family and I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property in March. It was well maintained, clean, and had plenty of activities to pre-occupy my 2 boys (15 & 17), when we weren’t out at Yosemite hiking. It had great views and was perfect for our small family.
House was very clean and comfortable. We loved watching the sunsets each evening in the back yard - absolutely stunning! The property owners provided a lot of useful information and were easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.
This review is long overdue. We stayed at this beautiful property in February. The home is beautiful and despite the rooms being connected very comfortably set up. Each room has its own entrance to the yard. We were able to stay by the fire at night, see the stars, and by day enjoyed the beautiful sunset. We took our two dogs who also enjoyed the space. The neighbors dogs did run along the fence and one was able to squeeze through to make it into the property, but we were able to pull the fence wire back. We also let the host know and they were attentive to the matter. Our overall stay was wonderful.
The house size was very nice. But oddly you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the master bedroom.
In an attempt to be helpful, I guess, the host left notes all over the house. Unfortunately, it felt like I had gone off to college and come home and mom was leaving me notes about the house rules.
The property itself was nice with an amazing view, but the neighborhood was a little rundown with junk vehicles, etc. in the yards.
The property is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with needed utensils and appliances. The hosts were very responsive answering all queries within minutes. They also proacively messaged us to let us know that the main hwy leading to Yosemite was closed by Caltrans because of rockfall.
Great stay, property is full of thoughtful details and is quiet and secluded with a view. Conveniently located, not too far from the park.
Hosts were extremely responsive and obviously put a lot of care into the place. Will definitely be staying here again.
Owners were extremely easy to work with. Very quick responses to any questions/concerns we had.House was immaculate. View is unbeaten. Roads leading to house are easy to navigate. Easy drive into the park.We would recommend this property!
The house is beautiful, comfortable, well stocked, and surrounded by nature with amazing views. It’s an easy drive up the 140 to the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite, and the gold rush town of Mariposa is very close by as well. Highly recommend!

Une maison cosy, décorer avec goût !
Tout le confort. Et surtout une vue sur la vallée imprenable ! Au milieu de la nature !
We stayed at the Gold Rush Ranch for our family vacation to Yosemite (4 adults). We spent most of our days at the park which is just under an hour away. But after a long day of hiking it was so nice to come back to a clean comfortable modern home. The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we needed, linens, towels, washer/dryer, wifi, coffee maker etc. And the view on the back deck was absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning. The town of Mariposa is barely 10 minutes away where we were able to buy groceries and eat dinner out each night.
We definitely recommend this VRBO rental.
Thank you Rekha and Shyam for sharing you beautiful home with us.
The owners were so amazing. From the beautiful property to their great accommodations. This stay was exactly what we wanted. The location was close enough to Yosemite to visit during the day, but perfect to escape from all the crowds. We will definitely be coming back!
This is a great place to stay. Very clean and friendly hosts
A great place if you want to relax. 45 min drive to Yosemite but rewarding when getting there. Great view of the Mountains a even better at night time to see the stars. Place is fully equipos so we felt like being home. Owners are very friendly and communicative, which help quite a lot. Truly recommend it
The house was perfect for our family and in a great location to visit Yosemite. Close to town for dining and groceries. The house was immaculate and has everything you’ll need for your stay!
Beautiful spot. Views are amazing. Very private. House was spotless. 45 min drive to Yosemite entrance. 60 minutes into the valley itself. works best for a family with kids, as the second bedroom is a walk-through from the living room to the master bedroom Highly recommend.
Excellent place to stay outside of Yosemite with beautiful views. Perfect setup for a family.

Our stay at the Gold Rush Ranch was great! The property is beautiful and the house is clean and modern. The hosts thought through just about everything to make sure we had a wonderful stay, including great hike and restaurant recommendations. I'd highly recommend this property for your next trip to Yosemite!
This home and property are absolutely beautiful. We stayed here while visiting Yosemite and while we spent most of our days at the park, which is only about an hour away, it was so nice to come back to the home at the end of the day. Upon arrival it was spotless and Rekha and Shyam left a light on for us since we were coming in late. The home had everything we needed, linens, towels, wifi, etc. The view of the mountains in the morning was spectacular. I would highly recommend this property and Rekha and Shyam as hosts! They were in contact with us for any questions we had and very responsive! We will definitely be back next time we come to Yosemite.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is very private with beautiful vistas. The house is very roomy, clean and functional. It was nice to be close to Mariposa for dining and shopping. There were deer and hare around the house in the morning and evenings - fun to see. We drove to Yosemite every morning, probably about an hour to the valley. We would definitely go back if we were visiting Yosemite again.
