"The two nights I spent at the Wild Wetlands Lodge were some of the most relaxing of my life. I stayed in one of the lodges where I woke up to the sight of capybaras in the surrounding grasslands and the singing of the many various bird species that inhabit the national park. "This was a great find, the staff was beyond excellent, very helpful and kind. Many spoke English which helped with my large family, most did not speak Spanish. The area is very walkable to tourist areas, bars, and restaurants. Overall excellent experience and will be going back. Amenities were excellent too, pool bar/restaurant gave us true vacation feel. "

"Short Version See pictures for detailed information) - Rooms and bathrooms are small, shower already tight spaced with doors that don’t close properly. - By day 3, construction noise and chemicals smells from remodeling work became a big issue. - Receptionist did not offer solutions and lied about remodeling hours. Felt uncomfortable when asked for manager’s name, and refused to give any other information. - Same receptionist reached out later to apologize and acknowledged we should have not been placed in those rooms to begin with. Offered to move us to “upgraded” rooms. - “Upgraded” rooms were even worse. One of the rooms was directly under the ones being remodeled and worked on. Noise began at 8 AM - The other two rooms did not have a functioning air conditioner. Staff gave poor excuse and just said to open windows. There’s tons of noise far into the night from motor bikes and people playing music right across the hotel. - Hotel breakfast was motel level at best. You get eggs swimming in water and some cut up ham. Toasters barely worked, and when staff was asked for replacement they appeared completely clueless. - The spa experience was good when it came to the massage. However “quiet” policy is not enforced and hearing toilets go off right next to the spa area don’t help with the experience. - Check out was the final straw. Desk staff was rude and dismissive of concerns, stating that the room “upgrade” was sufficient compensation for the troubles. "
