"We chose this hotel because it was close to family who live on the island and the location was perfect for all the restaurants and attractions we intended to visit. I know the area well and the building is lovely so thought this would be ideal for the couple of nice we were spending in town. We selected a slightly bigger room overlooking the square. The room itself was nice but it was obvious from the start the"

"Staff was very helpful. Rooms are small and the photos and information on Expedia is somewhat misleading. This is not a resort just a very basic hotel. "

"Breakfast was fabulous and the hotel has great amenities. The Michelin restaurants were world class but the general restaurant (1890) was ok but there was too big a difference between the quality of the restaurants. The biggest issue was the main bar where the service in the evening was very poor with a 25 min wait to get a drink. Many people were unhappy about this. Overall the hotel is very nice but be prepared for the bar.."

The staff, particularly, Jose Maria, were extremely helpful, the room was stylishly designed, the location was great, close to the beach but far enough away to be quiet, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The only drawback was a chair that would not go under the very small desk. Not a huge problem for a leisure hotel. "
