I've stayed at other Kavia hotels before so the hotel was pretty good overall. The room and bathroom were spacious, the mini fridge worked and the AC was cold. There's no iron or ironing board unless you request them. We experienced power outages every day but that was due to the country's power issues. However, the hotel had no generator so if you happened to be there for a night power outage, you were in the dark. I love the rainfall shower head but the shower tile is very slippery and there's no grab bar. We ended up purchasing a shower mat to provide some traction. The main stairs to the entrance has no railing so we found it safer to access the lobby and our room via the parking garage elevator. There was no bell hop to assist with luggage which was not a problem arriving but with a lot more luggage on departure this proved a bit cumbersome for my Mom and I since she could not handle too much weight. Be aware that the restaurant attached to the hotel is independently operated and the breakfast was good but a bit pricey.
The staff are good. The room (310) has no windows to the outside, the shower floor is too slippery, hot water takes way too long and it is not really hot, lighting in the bathroom is not nearly enough to shave o apply make up (my wife finished her makeup in the elevator mirror).
Staff were friendly and helpful. First night room we booked didn't have any windows to the outside. Felt claustrophobic. Person on the desk daid they could move us on the 2nd night, which we did. Much better room. Cleaning staff really only made the bed and left us new towels, didn't wipe down any countertops or floors. Elevator didn't work on tge second or third day. Rooftop swimming pool and area were very nice. Location is excellent.
Bathroom smelled like poo

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
There were minor issues. There was no "Do not disturb" placard to place on the door. The water in the shower was barely warm. There is not a single snack or drinks machine or svending machine.
