"This is the perfect spot for a single person to get away from it all - or a very close couple. That, or it is the perfect spot for a strong hiker or a guest with a 4-wheel drive car. The characteristic that gives it the charm is that view. It is beyond impressive. Getting up to the cabin is not for the faint of heart. "The location was within easy walking distance of the railway station and everything that Menton offered. Our room was light and airy with good air conditioning but we were a little apprehensive about security as the French windows opened on to a communal balcony. The swimming pool was warm and pleasant but a lack of changing facilities was an issue. The wellness centre had to be booked (for fee). Only here were there changing rooms."

"Waterfront hotel is what attracted us to the Balmoral. Room was small but clean. Small balcony overlooking ocean. Cleaning staff excellent and quick to do the room. Breakfast was plentiful. Breakfast room was spacious but lacked character, quite plain but large windows overlooking garden area and ocean. Hotel centrally located. Dozens of restaurants nearby. Paris Palace and Mamma Mia on the water were great, also the Fleur de Sel one. Overall, a nice stay. Would recommend for its location."

"This is an intimate hotel in Menton, run by warm and friendly people. It more than met our requirements for a one night stay as it is perfectly located for access to the railway station. Our room was well cleaned and quiet at night. Two things worth considering are the location being a bit of a walk from the historic ramparts if staying for multiple nights, and the fact that the reception is not manned overnight"

"This is a lovely hotel and the best Best Western I’ve EVER stayed in. If you have the budget, I would definitely recommend getting a sea view room though. My “mountain view” was at ground level and basically overlooked the street. That said, it was IMMACULATELY clean and new and very comfortable despite being quite small. Good breakfast. The location is a bit of a schlepp to old town Menton and the old port. It’s actually more Roquebrune-cap-martin than Menton TBH. A very good hotel though!"

"Very welcoming staff.Lovely bright clean room. Gorgeous views from balcony (4th floor) Spa balcony lovely to sit out early evening. Well situated to wander along beach front. Not very far from Old Town for evening walks. We didn’t book breakfast but little bar downstairs was lovely to come back to on the evening."
