Always Excellent.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past 10 years or so and it never disappoints. The service is consistently good, staff are friendly and helpful and the amenities excellent. The food is always of very high quality and the bar is comfortable and relaxing after a hard day. A recommendation - book a 'Comfort Plus' room, overlooking the gardens, these rooms are far quieter than the rooms at the front of the hotel that although soundproofed, are overlooking the Autobahn.

One of the best hotels in the area.
Very good hotel. The is nothing to add. You will enjoy. I had only 2 small issues: 1) The rooms are a little dark 2) The heater in the room was behind some grid/net and it was blocking a lot of the heat.

The hotel is not that much to look at from outside, but very nice. Comfortable big room, nice bathroom, tasty breakfast.

An oasis of a hotel
Great hotel for business and other travelers. A really quite spacious hotel with good bar. Surprising considering that the area doesn't seem to offer much - but if you are looking then you probably have a good reason to stay here. Please don't hesitate, it's great.

Great find along the highway!
Excellent hotel along the highway. I wished I could have tried the facility’s different offerings like the restaurant. I believe they even have a spa. Should I be in the neighborhood I would definately stay yhere again! BTW - dog friendly!

Nice option for a stopover
Nice hotel right by the autobahn. Very good service. Decent selection for breakfast at a reasonable price. As I arrived late in the evening, there were no options for something to eat after the restaurant is closed.

Pleasant stay
Very very good hotel to stay. Although the location is quite far from towns and markets, and there is no public transport as well. But you get taxi easily and on time. Hotel building, breakfast, lunch dinner, etc are all great. Would stay here again.

Brilliant modern hotel. Just off the motorway. Good when travelling in a car. Free outside parking. Very large double room with minibar and excellent bath and shower unit. Bar and restaurant have great food. Only thing I didn't like was the lack of light in the public spaces it was so dark you could hardly see. Receptionist had to be almost interrogated to give info on Internet information. It was very hard to find my way there and back as the motorway turnoff was closed due to roadworks and very little help with diversions (mid July 2013) should be finished in a few weeks

Great hotel
This hotel was very convenient to the highway - but the noise would be heard if you went to bed early. This was the largest room I have ever had in Europe at this price point and they had washcloths in the bathroom. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was very good and had some dishes with an Asian touch (most were typical German fare). My father had a shrimp with curry risotto that he really liked. The food prices were average. This hotel is not that close to town or anything to walk to. Curiously, around the hotel is a pasture and there were 2 cows that looked like they were from the Middle Ages - shaggy brown with horns. They were fun to watch from the balcony (which had 2 chairs per room). I would highly recommend this hotel if you are driving. While I was on vacation, the room had a big desk that would be nice to work from.

Melle - near the border of Germany and Netherlands
We arrived late afternoon to friendly service. We had driven through from Berlin and it had been a long trip so it was nice to have large, airy, clean rooms. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was huge! We are a family of five - 3 teens, so had booked two rooms which the staff had considerately put us close together. Restaurant at night was great - food was delicious and served promptly. Staff were attentive. Parking was copious and so we were able to park close to the rooms, and there were ramps for easy luggage hauling or those with wheelchairs. Did not stay for breakfast as we had another long drive and it was a little pricey. For one of my daughters the highlight was a little enclosure to the right-front of the property which housed 3 sheep, 3 goats and two long haired cows. She is an animal lover and these were easily accessible over a small fence. Very tranquil setting for those who want to overnight, stay for a weekend or just have a nice retreat. It is just off the main autobahn so you need to make sure you take the right turn into the hotel otherwise you end up back on the autobahn - our trusty GPS helped us on the way!

Hotel Melle - Highway hotel in Western Germany
A decent hotel with good dining at an affordable price. The location is perfect for a highway traveller but is not really suited for vacation. The fitness center is poor and does not even have a treadmill.

Tolles Hotel mit Stil. Cooles Restaurant. Liegt an der Autobahn, ist aber nicht laut. 20min zu Fuß nach Innenstadt Melle, Taxi kostet 15€. Deshalb nur 3 Sterne bei Lage

Super Service und freundliches Personal. Zimmer sehr geräumig. Wir waren zur Autobahn gelegen und ich habe keine Ohrstöpsel benötigt. Die Klimaanlage ist lauter.Top.

Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt an der Autobahn und wer unbedingt mit offenen Fenster schlafen muss/will, sollte auf jeden Fall ein Zimmer zum Garten buchen. Sonst ist es ein Hotel das außergewöhnlich ist, sowohl von der Ausstattung, als auch von der Freundlichkeit des Personals. Ich war im Rahmen eines Workshops da und fand den Aufenthalt sehr gut und würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Ich erwähne auszugsweise nur die negativen Aspekte, nicht jene als positiv, die für ein 4-Sterne Hotel selbstverständlich sind. Die Angaben beziehen sich konkret auf Zi 214 comfort plus. Die Heizung war m.E. defekt, da der Heizkörper unabhängig von der Reglereinstellung kalt blieb und die Zimmertemperatur max. 19 Grad C betrug. Die Rezeptionistin versuchte vergeblich sie in Gang zu bringen,um dann zu erklären, die Zimmertemperatur wäre zentral auf diese niedrige Temperatur festgelegt, weil die Gäste lieber im Kühlen schlafen würden. Die maximal erzielbare Beleuchtungshelligkeit war schummrig, abgesehen davon, das eine Lampe nur noch aus den 2 Stromkabel bestand. Das zweiteilige Bett ist nicht für Menschen geeignet, die sich nachts öfters drehen. die finden sich dann nämlich irgendwann auf dem Fussboden wieder. Wirklich ekelig aber waren 2 Dinge: Im Wasserkocher befand sich Wasser, das einem Feuchtbiotop zur Ehre gereicht hätte. Die beiden Wassergläser müssen vom Aspekt und Geruch her mit dem feuchten Reinigungslampen gereinigt worden sein, mit dem auch der Rest des Mobilars gereinigt worden ist. Der Rest sind dagegen Peanuts: nix Roomservice, nix a la carte, Restaurant, nix... Möglicherweise Personalausfall. Die Rezeptionistin hat jedenfalls ihr Bestes gegeben. Wenn man Besseres gewöhnt ist, kann man den Aufenthalt als kleines Abenteuer verbuchen.
