Nice, clean cabin not far from Oakland, Md or the Wisp. Saw plenty of deer and chipmunks.

Great private location. Beautiful in the fall
Wonderful house for 4 of us plus our dog. Hot tub and fire pit was nice and relaxing. Nice private & low traffic road which was great for walks. Connecting with elderly family and making memories with the board games and cooking meals was nice. We even enjoyed the Mountain Coaster at Wisp with one of the 79 year old family members. Thanks

Beautiful home and a good location, small inconveniences
As shown in the pictures, the property is beautiful. It's a great location and we enjoyed ourselves. There are some amenities and features of the cabin that need some maintenance though. When we return to Deep Creek Lake, we will be trying out a different property.

This was a lovely stay!
Best for those looking for a smaller cabin in a quiet part of the lake (though we were 15 mins to everything and extra close to the quaint town of Oakland and Swallow Falls State Park - both must dos for our small group).
We loved the deck fire pit, gas fireplace and hot tub. Views in mid-April allowed for a view of the lake. Once the leaves come in, it would be a nice forest view. The roads around the cabin were pretty quiet, which made for nice walks.
There were some minor quirks that should be remedied, but aren’t deal-breakers (they were communicated to the rental agency). We’d rent here again!
First impression was fantastic. Exactly what we needed. Off the beaten path privacy but close (20min) to everything we wanted to do. Lake is visible enough through the trees to let you know its right there and Swallow Falls is 12 minutes. We loved the area of the cabin but also the variety of food and fun near by. 5 stars on cleaning and that makes or breaks a stay. True Log cabin in the woods with all the rustic charm, modern updates and thoughtful amenities that made for a perfect weekend getaway.

Wild Edges
The location was great and very quiet. The cabin is cute but could have been a lot better if they would have cleaned up the grounds. The upstairs toilet seat was broken upon arrival and sitting on the floor. We texted this at check in, but nothing was done, so one had to be very careful if they used the toilet upstairs. I had to clean the patio furniture off, sweep, and the table with a fire pit in the was filled with greasy water, so we did not use it. There was a bag of trash left on the patio from previous guests as well. There is only one TV, which was an inconvenience. The windows were covered in dust and there were cobwebs on fixtures. The couches had trash and cans underneath. Overall, the cabin was nice, but I would put a little more effort into cleaning and maintaining the grounds.

House Nice/Vacasa Not so much!
Just sticking with the facts…
This was a nice house, property & location. Overall, the house was clean inside. There was a lot of junk and random items scattered on and below the side deck. There were spots on the master bathroom shower ceiling and an oddly placed dresser in the bathroom that we didn’t quite understand. One of the amenities was that there was streaming capabilities, however, the master bedroom TV did not have any cable, Roku or smart devices to stream. The gas fireplace is another nice perk, however this too was not working. There were several lights that were either missing light bulbs or not working, so it was pretty dim at night. The views from the cabin were great, but, there was a big Christmas tree left there that blocked the majority of the view. All of these items were brought to the attention of Vacasa the very first hour of the first day, and nothing was done about it. No communication, no one stopped by to take a look at the concerns, nothing other than a lot of apologizing.
Beautiful property! Watching the snow fall and the trees sway in winter's frosty fury was amazing.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area.
You truly get privacy in nature in this property. We could barely see the other homes in the area through the trees. The deer and other small mammals were frequent visitors in the mornings and evenings. Most everything deep creek has to over is close by and the farthest we had to venture to get to anything we wanted to do was about 15-20 mins. Swallow Falls State Park is a must see nearby.
House was very clean and beautifully appointed. We found everything we needed provided for us, including basic toiletries, dish washer packs, and coffee filters. All the little things that are likely forgotten were thoughtfully provided. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice place to stay. Very clean upon check in. Beds were comfortable and had one of the best appointed kitchens in any VRBO we had stayed in. The privacy during the summer was wonderful and we could barely see the other houses nearby through the trees. Access to all that deep creek has to offer was easy. Everything was within about a 15 min drive no matter where we needed to go. The surrounding area is beautiful, I would definitely stay here again. The only drawback to the home was that it is clearly meant for winter time rental. Only one room (the main room) has AC. This was not a deal breaker as the main room and the master bedroom have ceiling fans that help keep air moving. One small provided fan allowed us to blow cold air into the main floor bedroom to keep it cool. Additionally none of the bedrooms have shades or any way to block out the sun. If you need a dark room to sleep know that you will be getting up with the sun each morning. The two-twin bedroom had brackets for blinds but the blinds themselves were missing on one of the two windows.
