Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices. Staff at breakfast very kind. Awesome beach view from our room. Loud mariachi bands throughout the day. Good place for beach walking and close to restaurants in gold zone. Pool was nice, plenty of lounges. The building itself in need of major repair! Rooms clean. Furniture needs update. No hand towels or wash clothes. Lobby desk staff very helpful.

All the staff was very courteous. The pool was very clean. They also kept the beach area clean too. The property needs an update/remodeling. The price was fine if you only need a space to sleep/rest. The view to the beach from your room is beautiful. There's places to visit/shop all day.

The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the buffet was decent. Unfortunately, our overall experience with the room was disappointing. We had reserved a room with a queen bed but were given a room with what appeared to be a full-size bed instead. When we asked if another room with a queen bed was available, we were told there were none and that all rooms have the same size beds. We also asked about switching to a room with two beds, but we were informed there would be an additional daily charge, so we decided to keep the room we had. Our room did not have the beach view. Instead, the window faced the street. The window was installed so high that the bottom was approximately seven feet from the floor, making it impossible to look outside. We were on the ninth floor, yet we could clearly hear people talking from the ground below. We also noticed that one of the windows was stuck open and could not be closed. The room itself showed significant signs of wear. The entrance door would not open fully because it dragged on the floor and had to be pushed forcefully to open completely. The furniture was old and worn, and the bed frame had clearly been broken in half at some point and repaired with a piece of wood screwed into the center for support, which was very noticeable. The bathroom was clean, and I do want to mention that the linens were also clean. However, the light fixture above the shower was dripping water from the ceiling into the shower.

Very bad The service was terrible and the room was very neglected. The towels were worn and torn, the doors were sagging and very difficult to open, the bed was in bad condition, and the tables and chairs were dirty. The only kind and attentive person was the young man who helped with the luggage; he was very attentive and polite. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The pictures shown are clearly old, as the hotel is well worn. The pool and beach access is pretty good (though some of the umbrellas at the pool didn't work and there could have been more of them), and that's the best part of the hotel. The mattress was quite hard and the pillows were lumpy, the linens were laundered but old and had some stains that likely no longer come out. The free breakfast was mediocre. If you were looking at the photos and thinking it's too good to be true for the price, that would be correct and you get what you pay for. That said, if you're looking for an inexpensive beach hotel, this does the job, as long as you know what to expect. The staff were helpful so no complaints there. Another inconvenience was that if you're checking out, you can leave luggage, but there was no way to leave valuables in a safe with the front desk.

I am so disappointed with the upkeep of Ocean View. We had stayed there multiple times a few years ago and loved it but this was our last time staying there. The hotel has deteriorated drastically. The furniture is literally falling apart. The bar is no longer available, the steps that lead you out to the beach have almost totally collapsed so the access to the beach is blocked. We had to go out the main entrance and around the building then crossover large stones to get to the ocean. Then walk back wet and full of sand through the main lobby. The elevator was complete chaos. Only one functioning elevator that the hotel and staff had to share it easily took 20 minutes each time you had to use it. There is no air-conditioning in the main lobby or on the elevator. It made us miserable! The only thing that we found as positive was breakfast. Although the dining area is not great due to the old dirty furniture, we appreciated the taste of the food. It was authentic and tasted good.

All I have to say is it terrible hotel. Only one elevator for the whole hotel including the cleaning staff, we were in the elevator with the cleaning ladies and their cleaning supplies plus trash smelling the trash while using the elevator. Bad breakfast and no beach to relax on terrible Will never go back to OceanView Beach hotel 1st and time

Nothing was nice in this hotel ! Terrible nothing like in the pictures, everything is old they only had 1 elevator operating for 16 Floors they have, I overheard the other elevator has been out of service for about 3 years. There is no beach to relax on and there is nothing to snack on while on the pool. Also the breakfast bad only chilaquiles and scrambled egg with winnies and pancakes, coffee and juice and no fruit or sweet bread only bolillo. All furniture in the bedroom are very old.

First of all, the pictures of the room are nothing compared to what it actually was. The bed is a full size bed, it should be a queen for my taste. Specially if you’re traveling with someone else. And the worst part of my experience for this hotel was that it had cockroaches. Extremely disgusting!
