"Just a wonderful oasis in the Serra Tramuntana of Mallorca. Tranquil and beautiful venue with the most wonderful staff. Just relaxing, laying by the pool after a great breakfast with everything, surrounded by the picturesque mountains in the back."

"The property lobby and staff were wonderful! A little bit outdated in the hallways, but the pool was excellent and I liked how close the location was to the beach and other restaurants. I wish the shower was a bit better as the water kept leaking out of it and onto the bathroom floor!"

Absolutely stunning hotel! We had an amazing time and wish we could’ve stayed longer. There are a lot of restaurants in the area and it is easy to use transit to get to other towns nearby. They also have a sister hotel in Port Soller with a parking lot you can use if you are using the parking at Alcazar hotel, which is €18/day. The bed was super comfortable, rooms were beautiful and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet with a large variety of food. I hope to be back...

The hotel is lovely and clean and well maintained. It was a very comfortable place to spend our vacation. The staff was extremely competent, friendly and helpful. The dining room allows you to eat inside or outside on a patio and the selection is very good. I totally enjoyed my daily breakfast there and the few dinners when we decided not to go to Palma or along the strip. The main pool is small but clean and adequate and surrounded by a pleasant deck with a view of the beach. The second pool on...

We loved our stay at Sa Vinya! It was located in such a great place to see the island while staying in the comfort of one place for the week. Breakfast was incredible, there was such a great variety of things to eat. The property is amazing, it is located in a city but it really doesn’t feel like it, it truly feels like a rural property. It would be nicer if the pool was a little warmer, but we went in September and it had been a little cooler so we understand, also it’s a massive pool so it...

Really great hotel to stay at. Beautiful modern style that kept the old stone touches from the original building. Location was perfect 15 minutes to Palma beach, 5 minutes to shopping 15 minutes to the basilica. Shower bathroom beds everything was super clean. Only thing was that the walls seemed a little thin as you could hear others staying at the hotel at times but nothing you couldn’t deal with. Excellent stay!

The property was in a great neighbourhood, with easy public transportation access, a lot of shops nearby and the city centre and most restaurants we visited about a 15-20 minute walk away. The staff went above and beyond to provide advice and accommodate a few requests we had. Everyone was very friendly and kind. The hotel is also incredibly clean and our room was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel! Comfortable bed, and spacious room! We booked a balcony and enjoyed the view late nights while we had some drinks. Buffet breakfast was excellent! Variety of food to choose from. There were three pools. Enjoyed the pool (nice to swim in deep end) and shallow pool had a jacuzzi! We had drinks and snacks at the pool. Pool at sky bar (we didn’t try) but sky bar view was amazing!! Had pre-dinner drinks and appys and enjoyed the view at sky bar then went for a walk around hotel....

Great hotel in an excellent location! Beach, restaurants, and supermarkets within walking distance. Bus stop to Palma or the airport also a short walk away. Two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and spa with whirlpools are all quite lovely. The buffet for breakfast had lots of variety, and we ate at the dinner buffet a few times as well for €20 (drinks at dinner not included). We quite enjoyed the dinners and thought that there was a good variety offered too. I would go back to this hotel without...

Well appointed hotel and rooms.
Staff were helpful when approached.
Felt safe as two female travelers as it's a good upscale location with plenty of foot traffic.
We tried the SkyBar which has amazing views!
We tried the breakfast buffet on our last day and it was excellent.
Would recommend this location as it's so easy to get to the Seu (Church), Harbourfront, tons of outdoor restaurants on Born Ave, and not too far of a walk to the train and bus station.

The best area to stay in Marratxinet is the central part of the village, particularly around the Plaça de l'Església.
This area forms the heart of Marratxinet, offering a blend of traditional Mallorcan village life with convenient access to local amenities. The Plaça de l'Església, with its historic church, is a focal point, often hosting local markets and community events. The surrounding streets are lined with traditional stone houses, a few local shops, and eateries, giving it a peaceful, residential feel.
Couples looking for a tranquil escape will appreciate staying near the Plaça de l'Església. It's an ideal base for exploring the local countryside, enjoying leisurely walks, and experiencing authentic village life away from more crowded tourist spots. The local restaurants offer a chance to savour regional cuisine in a relaxed setting.
For families, the areas just outside the immediate village centre, but still within easy walking distance, often provide larger properties with more outdoor space, such as private gardens or pools. These locations offer a good balance of privacy and convenience, allowing families to enjoy their own space while still being close enough to the village for essentials.
When is the best time to go to Marratxinet?
The best time to visit Marratxinet is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and October.
These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring the island without the intense heat and crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find it comfortable for outdoor activities like cycling or visiting local markets, and the sea is warm enough for swimming.
Couples often find these times ideal for a relaxing getaway. The fewer crowds mean a more intimate experience at restaurants and attractions, and you can enjoy the natural beauty of the island at a more leisurely pace. Many hotels offer better value during these periods too.
For families, late May, early June, or September are excellent choices. The weather is still lovely for beach days and exploring, but the main school holiday rush hasn't started or has finished, making for a more relaxed trip.
