The real life experience was exactly as described in the listing….although no picture will do the views justice. What I would give to regularly enjoy my coffee sitting in that backyard and a glass of wine at sunset. Just incredible. This cabin is perfect for a retreat that is peaceful and relaxing. It’s ideal to cook your meals in the cabin. About 40minutes in each direction is something wonderful to see/do. We enjoyed lunch at the Little Switzerland Cafe (get the Reuben). It’s a wild ride up the mountain there. Some of the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, for example, Crabtree Falls is closed as with that portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, a close hiking option is Tom’s Creek; pretty and on the easier side. Our favorite was Linville Falls trail as well as Linville Winery. We also were just an hour drive from The Biltmore, which is a must visit once in your life. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the basics. This host goes above and has a stocked coffee bar and fire pit necessities. Just a note it is a charcoal grill. Driveway is very steep. Beds were comfy and the towels actually absorbed water. The host went above and beyond to communicate and make sure our stay was perfect. Has a digital guidebook that is very helpful. I repeat, we can’t wait to go back! Downstairs area was great for the kids. Beds comfortable and decent vanity spaces. Good wifi. Hot tub is really nice and conveniently located near the door. Would be nice to have extra towels to use for it. Only con is the 10 minute drive up/down the narrow, winding mountain road. Views are beautiful though. Bed was very comfortable. Fire pit on the back porch was amazing. I thought the hospitality could be better, there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner in the upstairs bathroom. I believe someone found some all in one products in the downstairs bathroom. Not super important but was just expecting general supplies. They have a washer and dryer but you'll need to bring your own detergent as well. Not crazy but would have been a nice way to go above and beyond to accommodate guests given the price point. Wifi/internet is pretty much nonexistent but it's the mountains. The master bedroom door didn't close as well. I had to manually pull/hold the bottom bottom left corner in to be able to close the door every time since it bulged out and stopped it from closing. Very inconvenient/annoying. Overall though, very safe, cozy and a great time. Just expected a little bit more for the price range. We were also celebrating a birthday and mentioned that before so a nice welcome not with that could have been cool. Overall amazing time but just some ways to go above and beyond to provide great hospitality/make guests feel more welcome."
