« Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead.
The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use.
They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

« The property was beautiful and decently maintained from what I could tell. We had a cobweb on our door we had to clear to enter our room. The toilet seat was held on with one bolt and is an accident waiting to happen. We used some electrical tape to keep it in place. The sink had toothpaste in it. The door code proces worked great. I didn't have to wait and complete paperwork to check in. We were not there long enough to really check out anything. »

« Went to check in and the place smelled terrible and was so run down, I chose not to stay. It did not feel safe. I asked for a refund from Expedia, but the property manager denied it. Expedia gave me one key credit, which was nice, and I went elsewhere. »
