This prime waterfront location provides our guests everything they need to have a fantastic vacation in the Florida Keys. This is truly the one of the best locations in Marathon and it screams location, location, location!!! We love this home and want to share our little slice of paradise with you. As you will see, we have a unique and affordable waterfront home with 7 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms and plenty of room to accommodate multiple families or larger groups. Licensed to sleep up to 16 guests, there are 6 bedrooms with King beds and 1 bedroom with two Twin beds. Each bedroom has Smart flatscreen TVs, ample closet space and new dressers to store your personal items such as luggage and clothing. This home was tastefully updated in October 2021\. The updates included a new metal roof, new interior and exterior paint, completely new interior furniture, including all bedroom sets, living room (3 sofas) and dining room table with 8 seats, new tiki hut, privacy trees between the neighboring property, new pea gravel driveway, new artwork, new hurricane sliders, new stove, new washer and dryer, new patio furniture with seating for 16\. The list of positive attributes for this home are plentiful. Some of the amenities include a private pool, 110' waterfront with about 80 foot of private dockage, ample parking for 6 or more vehicles plus 2 boat trailers and a very large and spacious back yard. There is plenty of room for all of your vehicles, boats, water toys and trailers. Additionally, the back yard is completely fenced in for privacy and there is a lot of seating areas for our guests to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. There are long water views from the back yard and clear unobstructed views of the golf course from the front. And for those who like sand between their toes, Sombrero Beach is only minutes away. Attached to the back of the home is a large enclosed screened patio with two outdoor tables and seating for 16\. The back yard has a huge tiki hut with seating for 8, 4 lounge chairs, 8 Adirondack chairs, and 2 separate outdoor tables. Our guests can soak up the sun by the pool or sit inside the screened/shaded patio and enjoy the ocean breeze. The community is extremely safe and you can take morning or evening walks along the golf course’s pedestrian pathway out front. There is also a large balcony off two of the upstairs bedrooms boasting even more privacy and beautiful water views. At night, you can sit by the water, look at the stars and enjoy the peaceful serenity that this property has to offer. The kitchen fully stocked with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker utensils and cookware. Linens, bath towels and starter toiletries are provided along with a full-size washer and dryer. If you play golf, all you need to do is walk out the front door onto one of the nicest golf courses in the Florida Keys. The golf facility also has multiple tennis courts and the City of Marathon has a free skate park nearby with basketball, baseball and tennis courts. And let’s not forget the star of the show which is the ocean and water activities. For our boaters and fishermen, this home is only minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. The fishing in Marathon is world class!!! From Mahi and Tuna to Sailfish and Grouper, the fishery is plentiful. You can fish, snorkel and dive within minutes of leaving the dock as the marine life and coral reefs are extraordinary. Manatees, snook, tarpon and even dolphins are often seen in the canal. Fishing off the dock is a ton of fun and the kids can catch fish all day long. Further, there are many great waterfront restaurants in the immediate area along with creature comforts such as Publix, Walgreens, CVS, banks and gas stations. Additionally, this home is within minutes of several local attractions like the Dolphin Research Center, Aquarium Encounters, Turtle Hospital, Pigeon Key, the Seven Mile Bridge and Curry Hammock State Park. For our adventurers, there are local Snorkel and Sunset cruise charters which take you to amazing nearby coral reefs such as Sombrero Light and Looe Key. Other local rental shops include kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles. Need Baby Gear? No need to pack bulky baby equipment anymore. Babyquip.com has you covered for everything you need like cribs, pack-n-plays, strollers, car seats, toys and more. They deliver, set-up and pick-up when you’re done. Who likes extra charges? Not us!!! The daily rate you pay includes everything. No extra charge for heating the pool, extra persons or administrative fees. And don't forget that we are locals who fish and dive these waters all year round. We love giving advice and tips about fishing and snorkel spots to our guests. I come from a family of four and all of us have kids so it was nice to have our own room to get away if need be. Easy access and a quick trip to the Atlantic on the boat “maybe 10 minutes”. The boat dock attached to the house was very convenient to let our boats stay in the water for the whole week and the transit to the ocean through the channel was only a couple of minutes and very easy to navigate. Jay was an incredible host. I texted/called him multiple times for questions and he was always willing to help. If I could give this place 1,000 stars I would!!! We had 12 adults, a toddler and an infant in our group, and everyone had a great time. The 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms allowed each couple privacy while the layout of the common areas gave us plenty of space to enjoy being together. The house itself is comfortable and well-equipped with everything that you will need for a great stay. The pool was delightful - we did bring our own floating toys so we could float for days. The palapa gave us a comfortable area to stay out of the sun. We rented a kayak while we were there and spent a lot of time paddling around the waterways.Jay was extremely responsive to my many questions leading up to the trip, answering most times the same day. Check in and out was very easy and the Welcome package of instructions thorough and helpful.We did not want to go all the way to Key West for our vacation, but several of us took a day trip there. We discovered a nice beach area at Veterans Park just on the other side of the 7 Mile bridge that we liked better than Sombrero Beach. We also enjoyed the Pigeon Key train ride and tour as well as the Aquarium just down the road. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a great house for a large group. ##### Loris N. The house fit our large group comfortably, without feeling huge. The pool and waterfront in the backyard provided endless entertainment for the kids and adults without having to go far. The house is also close to many sights and experiences in the Keys. The house showed some minor wear but was very clean. Jay and Kristin were incredibly responsive hosts, and we appreciated all the information they provided before and during our visit. We'd book it again! ##### Susan P. We were a group of 3 couples and 2 singles who rented this lovely home for a week’s vacation. We have known each other since high school.We loved, loved, loved the heated pool, and the large screened-in porch where we congregated for coffee, meals, laughter and lots of fun!The kitchen was large and well equipped. And, did I mention how comfortable the beds were?The house is conveniently located to grocery stores and fabulous restaurants.We even caught fish off the dock and saw a family of manatees! We took one day off and went to Key West, but otherwise, we spent our time at the house. The owners are very responsive and helpful.HIGHLY recommend this wonderful property! We had people coming from all over the country so I was in panic mode. The host was amazing in arranging alternative lodgings for us. He kept in close contact with us and even stopped in to check on us that we were doing well. He went above and beyond for us for what turned out to be non-profit for him. The house was a perfect layout for the 4 generations, ages ranging from 4 months to 87 years old.
