We did plan our trips down to the pool so we didn’t have to go back and forth much. If you have mobility issues maybe not for you. Of course, this is a common design in this area for storms. The pool was pretty private, every now and then boats go by and there were some folks who use the space next to the house as a hang out but we were not really bothered by that. We fished directly from the house! Even caught a shark night fishing. Close to whatever you may need (groceries, restaurants, activities, and the rest of the keys). Overall 5 stars. We liked not having a massive “to-do” list upon checking out…. Saw manatees, sea turtles, dolphins, and iguanas. We saw giant eels coming out of the rocks under the dock. We fished from the dock every day. We love the outdoor shower with hot water. The location and the view were just perfect. Fishing right from the property and the pool were great. The area was quiet but there’s very easy access to the main road and many wonderful restaurants in Marathon. Pharmacies and grocery stores are nearby. Loved the screened porch.
