Tiki Hut with TV, Bikes, Kayaks, Paddleboards, Beach! DOCKSIDE RETREAT is a 4 bedroom 3 bath canal front home that has a private pool, private dock, fish cleaning station, with a green light under the dock, two paddle boards, a kayak, four bikes, and a Tiki Hut for the ultimate Keys vacation! There are 4 parking spots for vehicles and one boat trailer (you cannot have more than one boat at this property). The kitchen and bathroom are well-stocked with everything you need and there's a neighborhood beach just down the street! Located at mile marker 55, in the heart of Marathon, Dockside Retreat is your perfect vacation spot! There are lights inside the Tiki Hut so you can enjoy the space in the evening as well! There is a green light under the water at the dock. The house also has a pack n play, mattress, baby sheets, baby gate, high chair and booster seat! We provide hand soap, bath bar soap, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, stain remover, bleach, kitchen sponge/scrubby, trash bags, TP, PT, basic kitchen/bath cleaner bath, pool/beach towels and all bed linens. We also provide two propane tanks for the grill. This is a vacation rental and the entire home (half the duplex) and property are for the exclusive use of the guests. This property is unit 2\. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 baths on each side. Each side has it's own pool/parking. We have a pin pad on the door and the code will be provided shortly before your arrival. The entire Unit 2, the pool, half the dock (no charge), and parking (4 spots) are available for the guest. The dock accommodates a 35 foot boat max. Each unit has one side of the dock for its private use. There is covered parking for two vehicles and additional parking for more cars and/or a boat trailer. There are 4 spots total -so 3 cars and one trailer max, or 4 cars. You cannot have two boats at this property. As the property manager, I am available throughout your stay for any questions, needs, or recommendations. You will be able to call or text me directly, day and evening, 7 days a week! If I am needed at the property, I will certainly make myself available any time! Angler's at Sombrero is a newer development on Sombrero Beach Road, just down the street from Sombrero Beach - a beautiful oceanfront beach! Sandy beaches are not common in the Keys, so it a real asset to have an oceanfront sandy beach just down the street! There is a sidewalk all along Sombrero Beach Road where you can bike, exercise, or walk to the beach! About two minutes from the grocery store (Publix and Winn Dixie), a minute or so from the beach, and less than 10 minutes from any of the amazing restaurants and activities in Marathon, the location is perfectly centrally located! Only an hour from Key West and about 20 minutes from Bahia Honda State Park, you can easily make day trips! We recommend that you have a car during your stay in the Keys. We provide TP, PT, hand, dish soap, bath bar soap, laundry pods, laundry detergent, trash bags, basic kitchen/bath cleaner, dishwasher detergent that should be enough to last a week. We also provide all the bed linens, baths, and pool/beach towels and two propane tanks. It is mandatory that the guest manage their trash throughout their stay. A Pineapple Properties team member will take the cans to the street for pick up on trash days and also return them to the spot where they belong. You just need to ensure your trash is taken to the cans and does not pile up during your stay. We do ask that you clean the grill to the best of your ability before you leave. Do you not use charcoal in the grill as it is a gas grill. $45 Management Fee is Damage Insurance covering up to 3k in damages. The pool can be heated or chilled for a fee of $ 125 per 7 days, plus tax and credit card fees as applicable. Most rental provide enough for one or two days, but we had enough for a week stay. The house was tastefully furnished, and the pool and tiki hut was a favorite spot for us. It was too hot to ride the bikes, but the kayaks and paddle boards were used. Meredith was great-always answered the phone immediately. The one issue that we had was resolved the same day. There were 10 of us and we all had plenty of room. Meredith was absolutely wonderful to deal with and responded to us right away with everything. We spent so much time in the pool and fishing off of the dock. We even had a manatee come right up to us. The kayaks and paddle boards were great to have as well. The house is in a great location, close to everything. When we were there, the Sombrero Beach wasn’t great, but we had the pool anyway. I would definitely recommend staying here. ##### Angela E. We had everything we needed to enjoy our family vacation. Having Publix on the same side of the main Route 1 made all catering logistics a breeze. The house was perfect for us, plenty of room for all. We appreciated the pool towels, beach chairs, bikes, snorkel gear, kayaks, pool toys, etc. The beds were super comfortable, plenty of dishes, pots, pans., etc. The location was perfect, close to Sombrero Beach, shopping, etc. Meredith the property manager was very responsive, we had one minor issue she addressed that immediately. Same thing for the outside hose. I have been working both these items for many, many years and they both gave me and my children a run for our money as to how they work. Beautifully decorated, nicely laid out for a group (we had two families of four), well equipped kitchen, lovely porch and pool area with both shade and sun options. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean and I'm very picky about this, actually looking under furniture to see if it is clean :) Fantastic location close to everything including a beach less than a 5 minute drive away. Only negatives were that some of the pool area furniture could use a little TLC and it would be good to have a couple of extra blankets. Also for those looking for a personal experience/interaction with the owner, this is a professionally managed unit with a property manager so not that. Very clean with all the amenities and supplies you need for a family! 8 of us traveled together (4 adults and 4 kids), and the house layout worked great for our 2 families. 5-6 manatees visited us when we first arrived, which the kids loved. The pool was beautiful. We choose to have the pool heated, which made for perfect morning/evening swims when we were stayed in March. The tiki hut was a great place to get out of the sun and relax. The property manager was available and very responsive when we needed anything. Great location, too! Sombrero Beach is near by, and we highly recommend to spend some time there. Everything we expected and then some. My family has been making a trip down to Marathon for several years and this was by far the best place we’ve stayed at. There were fishing poles, kayaks and paddle boards for our use during the stay as well. The brand new Weber grill was awesome. Our property manager was always available and helpful with anything we needed. The Publix is a short drive or a few minute bike ride right up the street. And the nicest beach in The Keys just right down the same road the duplex is on. We did not bring a boat this trip but the boat dock is well maintained and has nice fish cleaning station as well.
