"This property has a lot of potential because the location is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding area is one of its biggest selling points. The restaurant staff was also amazing—very friendly, welcoming, and one of the highlights of our stay. The checkout process was smooth and easy as well. That said, for the price paid, the hotel itself fell short of expectations. The room had a strong musty/moldy odor that was hard to ignore, and with no air conditioning, it made the stay fairly uncomfortable. The fan provided was appreciated, but it wasn’t enough to fully offset the issue. The room is definitely showing its age, with noticeable stains on the furniture and bleach stains on the carpet. While I understand some older properties have character, there’s a difference between charm and lack of upkeep. At this price point, I expected accommodations that felt fresher, better maintained, and more in line with the standard the location suggests. Overall, the hotel is in a more secluded area with great views is in a fantastic area and has so much potential, but management really needs to invest more into updating and maintaining the rooms to match what guests are paying."

"It was a perfect stay, not only because of the five star ratings I just gave for cleanliness, attentiveness, affordability and location, but because of Jade, and her generosity as as the Surf Inn’s representative. Her welcome. Her goodbye, the spread she put out for breakfast for me and only one other guest. She’s a keeper. I’ve stayed at the Surf Inn often and have always enjoyed it. This stay was special because of Jade."

"The location is great with amazing views from the living room! The house is big and had a fireplace and comfy seating.Although it wasn’t super clean, it worked for us. When we stayed the owner was also there and we heard him opening and shutting the garage which is under the living room and was a little weird. They were also doing Laundry late at night which was a bit loud since it’s right out the front door. the listing did say that it was a split house and the owners could be there and they would be super quiet. That was not the case.Also the beach is not a private beach. Meaning you are not the only people there. It’s a beautiful beach though and is a few minutes drive from the houseOverall the location wins and the house is a good reprieve from the city and is close to point arena!"

"Breakfast was very good with views that were even better. We especially enjoyed the free tesla charging stations. Units spread out over large piece of property so never felt crowded."
