"Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect. "

"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

Every member of staff was happy, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the stay feel extra special. The spa was absolutely amazing — a real highlight and perfect for unwinding. "Staff were excellent. Service was brilliant for breakfast and we had meal in the restaurant on our first night . The young man serving us was very welcoming and advised us re the tapas menu . Room comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired shower was excellent but decor needs refurbishing . After a shower the room was drenched in condensation. The bathroom heater wasn’t working on the first night there . All in all no complaints this was our second visit to this hotel and we will come back "
