Loved having a boat lift
We had several bad storms come through during our stay and we were so happy to be able to use the boat lift instead of having to load and unload the boat every day. The owner was available when I reached out and allowed us to check in an hour early. We also caught some nice fish right under the boat lift when the lake was too rough to go out in the boat. Beautiful sunsets!

Perfect Lake House
Everything was assume, the owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed fishing from the dock all day, it’s great for catching catfish. Such a nice home and very pleasant owners. If you are looking for a lake house that has it all, this is it!

State Bowling Getaway
We had a great time on our state tournament weekend. The house was beautiful! 4 couples shared it and there was plenty of space for everyone. The layout is fantastic. Even when cooking breakfast and dinner several of us were in the kitchen at once and we were not in each other's way. The view is gorgeous and we had fun fishing at the dock. Definitely would recommend this house for a getaway with a bigger family or a few friends.

Relaxing but disappointing
The home is cozy, nice view from the deck but not the interior of the home. The family room facing the lake has two picture windows that face the lake, one blind does not roll up at all, the blind in the door is broken so no view from there either. They only have a charcoal grill, no gas grill. They do not provide any firewood like most rentals at Cedar Creek lake. The beds are crazy comfortable, unfortunately they are either controlling the AC or the AC needs maintenance. The appliances are old ( coffee maker, dryer) and our fridge was left unclean, lettuce and food particles still in the shelves. I mention the dryer because you will have to do half the maids job by washing the towels on quick wash? because they say the towels take the longest to dry? be prepared to bring your own toilet paper, first rental ever that doesn't provide toilet tissue for their guests. The neighbor leaves a lot to be desired! Basically, a cozy home that is not being maintained regularly. We would not stay here again.

Thank you for your review of my property. I’m sorry to hear that you were not happy with our house. I’m surprised to be seeing your complaints in a review as the only messages before this review was because you didn’t know how to operate the TV and fire stick. Both front picture window blinds do lift up and the one in the door leading outside opens allowing views of the lake. The blind on the left is the newer style and with all new blinds the cord has been removed for safety reasons. You just pick up from the bottom to open. We do have a charcoal grill which is on our listing. We will investigate adding a gas grill but this was removed due to guest accidentally leaving the grill on after cooking. We do have firewood on the side of the house. We checked the AC and did not find any issues with it. I will talk with the housekeeper about the fridge as it should be clean. Towels do take longer to dry which is why we ask you to put in the washer and turn on as you leave. The washer and dryer were purchased new and are only 2 years old We do provide a large jumbo roll of toilet paper in all bathroom for your stay. Our neighbors are very nice people so I’m not sure if you had issues with them but you did not message me there was an issue. The home is maintained as we check the house after each guest stay.

Great escape from DFW
Comfortable house on the lake to relax and be together. Big open space that's fun to just hang out and relax in. It rained a few days and we were able to stay inside (or on the covered porch!) and played board games, read books, and watched some movies together (family of 5). We didn't do much on the lake, but there's a boat ramp nearby and the dock looks like a great place to get on the lake with kayaks or other craft. Overall the house is comfortable and well set up for family to be together (and have space to be apart too :-)) The neighborhood is fine, this part of the lake houses are pretty close together, but the house has it's own lake access, backyard, and dock. Charcoal grill and kitchen are well set up with utensils, pots, pans, and such to support cooking meals at home.

I have stayed in many other VRBO but have never had to bring my own toilet paper!!!!! Also if you wear Makeup bring your own washcloths!!

Thank you for your review of my property. Makeup wipes to remove makeup would be the preferred method for removing makeup as it stains the washcloths. A full roll of jumbo toilet paper is provided for each bathroom but depending on the length of your stay and number of guests, you may have to purchase additional.

Family Gathering
My family and I have stayed there twice now and we absolutely love it there. The home feels cozy, the views are always breathtaking. We love that we see the sun rise and set each day. My 4yr old had the best time taking a bath in the master bath that had built in jets - made for a spectacular bubble bath. It was just what we all needed to relax and reset after the busy holiday season. Chris, as always, was an amazing host with preparation for the trip and answering questions during our stay. We look forward to returning again.

We came to this beautiful lake side paradise. The house was so clean and well appointed. We loved spending time on the back porch watching the beautiful sunset each evening. It was a dream setting on the porch drinking coffee each morning. We will be back.

Thanksgiving at the Lake House
This waterfront home on Cedar Creek Lake had everything we were looking for. The master suite downstairs is amazing! We had 8 adults and one child and had plenty of room for everyone. The owner was available if needed and responded to messages quickly. We will definitely book this one again!

Our annual family & friends vacation has been spent at this beautiful lake house for 5 years now!! We have the best sunset views and great fishing every single year. The house is immaculate and is very roomy and comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Weekend Getaway
The property was clean and perfect for our sized group (6 adults). The kitchen and living area was large and spacious. The double decker lake dock was useful for docking my boat and fishing. The water was very low due to lack of recent rain but we still caught fish at the dock. Would recommend to others looking to enjoy the lake.

This is my first review that has not been a four or five star. The house is modern and nice with two bedrooms upstairs and loft with a loose railing. Besides the beds being made, I spent 3 hours cleaning floors, dried food from table and chairs, spider webs from lighting fixtures inside the house, and ants in master bath, kitchen, and upstairs bedroom. Gave up and did not clean outside porch. Back yard is unusable because the sprinkler system leaks and water stands. Notified host of issues and asked for a 50% refund on cleaning charges, it has been ten days and his response is he is looking into the matter.

Thank you for your review. You notified me of three issues that I attempted to bring the housekeeper back to touch up as they were very minor and you declined saying "we can make do." I wish you would have let me bring them back in as the small issues you notified me about would have never taken them 3 hours to complete. After check out you added the issues here in your review which I was not notified about until after check out. The railing was a little loose so it has been repaired. I inspected the house for ants in the master bath, kitchen and upstairs but was unable to locate any after your stay. I went ahead and had the house sprayed since this was reported. I had a sprinkler company come out and assess the sprinkler system and they did not find any leaks as indicated. The backyard was inspected for standing water but I did not find this to be an issue either. I am sorry for the late response but it takes time to line up contractors to assess these reported repairs.

Tranquility by the lake
Great time with our adult children and grandson. Cooked together, swam together both morning and evening. Played games. Love the sunsets and the rising of the sun each morning. The weather was perfect all week with highs above 100. Out golden retriever loved the water. Plan to visit again next year. Perfect accommodations.

Great Stay! Family Friendly!
We had an amazing time at this property. It was a perfect place on the water, not to busy and a short boat ride to the marina. We brought our boat and the lift was great way to access our boat quickly. Clean and great amenities. We will definitely book again.

Nice place to stay for boating
Overall a good place to stay. Neighborhood is tight, tight fit for pickup and boat trailer. Nice to have a boat ramp so close! House was clean, management was responsive. No queen air mattress as advertised…’futon’ sleeping surface was smaller than a regular twin bed. The sleeping situation was not disclosed until after notifying management. Having a two story deck with boat lift was very handy. 20-30 drops of grease appeared on the entire length of the boat while parked in the dock. Overall a good place to stay, was worth the asking price.

Thank you for your review. The Queen blow up mattress was not put out due to the size of your party. When discussing this with you you said you had enough beds for your party size. The futon is smaller than a regular full size bed but larger than a twin. The boat lift motor was checked and not leaking.

We rented this property and the house next door for a family reunion. The large backyard and dock were perfect for games, activities, fishing, and relaxing on the back porch. Everyone had such a great time, all the family wants to do it again next year.

Enjoyable weekend on the lake
The house is well appointed and is a nice place to stay, Master Bath is the best! Our group spent a lot of time on the large deck, fishing and taking in the view of the sunset. Limited supplies so be sure to bring/buy your own. Lots of pots/pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery. Note that the grill was changed over to charcoal grill only. About 12 minutes to a grocery store and dining options. For nearby activity, the group went to Purtis Creek State Park for hiking. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Would recommend to anyone who wants to relax in comfort and enjoy the lake!

Great Lake House
This is a really nice lake house big enough for our family of 6. Everyone had a great time sitting around the outside fire pit and fishing off the dock. The kitchen is nice and fully stocked with everything you would need to cook. Loved the master suite was downstairs and the rest of the bedrooms were upstairs. Overall a great place to relax and fish.

Perfect weekend getaway

House was nice and good location on the lake. Make sure you take a few essentials, Kitchen towels and spices for cooking. Lake was low but that's always changing.. if you are cold natured, blankets would be good. The loft is nice space for kids..

Thank you for your review. We do our best to knock down spider webs when our housekeeper sees them. It is difficult for us to know if you are talking about our dock or house. Being that our house is right on the lake spiders and spiders webs are something that is to be expected. I am sorry if we had a couple of spider webs at the house or dock. I will forward your complaint to the Housekeeping service as they should knock them down after each guest stay.

Great Lake House
This lake property is very good. The location is centrally located to Walmart, Brookshires and good resturants. The house itself is great, lake is great, fishing is great, atmosphere is great. Plenty of room to relax and sit outside and enjoy a cold drink.

Lovely house, great location, best sunsets!
We love this side of the lake and have been looking for the perfect house to accommodate our young children and grandparents for a family weekend on the lake. This house received rave reviews from young and old! There is main floor bedroom, which is great for grandparents. Plus two bedrooms and a loft for the rest upstairs. Location is perfect -- the best sunset views on the lake and a quiet cove for tubing, fishing, waterskiing, etc... Chris was very responsive to a few questions we had during check-in (mostly due to water being low, which is currently impacting the entire lake). Kitchen is well stocked and house was lovely! We will definitely be back!

Girls' Trip 2022
This is definitely one of the best spots my group of girlfriends has stayed in! Very clean, all of the amenities, beautiful location right on the water. We had planned shopping trips each day but never left the property!!!!!! Gorgeous sunrises and beautful sunsets on the top deck pier. This is a great house with open water to Cedar Creek. Super clean and well stocked for what we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and kept our boat in the slip during our stay. We will be coming back again to stay in this hidden gem on the lake.

For the cost of the rental one would think there would be the necessary amount of paper product, to include paper towels toilet paper trash bags and paper plates they were very limited amount of bathing towels and no real outside activity games. The outside patio was covered in spiderwebs in large amounts of spiders.

I’m really surprised to see your review. We communicated during your stay and you seemed to be happy. We only provide enough supplies for the amount of guest you indicate in your party size. Since you had more guests then you indicated on your booking this is the issue you ran into when staying at our lovely house. We provide paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags so that you have time to purchase the amount you may need during your stay as we have no way to know how many you plan to use. This is something that will change with every guest. The amount of towels that are provided are based on your guest number. I totally disagree with you on spider webs. Since you obviously didn’t realize this is a lake house right on open water and it is a part of nature that spiders and spiders webs are going to be seen. We cannot totally eliminate them at a lake house. But we do our best to limit the amount we have. Again whether or not there are too many is based on the renters opinion. You may think one is too many. It really was terrible you put a full size catfish in the trash container as it really smelled the can up and upset our housekeeper with the smell. Again anybody that has spent any time at the lake would know better than to put a catfish in the trash can. Really a shame to waste a catfish!
