Beautiful city with a very rich history. Didn’t like the way they treat carriage horses. They were badly abused
Great monuments and temples. People are friendly. Town needs some serious renovations and improvements to cleanliness

There is a lot of Christians
Good for half day tours on either side of the Nile and taking the afternoon to relax by the pool. But can definitely see the main attractions on both banks in one day. Be sure to have Egyptian pounds to pay for entrance tickets if not with a tour.
