"Very comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Older building but is kept up and clean. Great breakfast selection. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again."

"The room was clean, the staff was always present if you needed something. The area was well kept. The breakfast was a downfall of the stay. The coffee machine did not work properly. The juice machine was dispersing a watery substance but it wasn't juice. The waffles were good but There was no selection of any type of eggs. There was bread present but the toaster was out of order so we were not able to have toast. 2 of the 4 creamer containers were empty. I know the employee that was in the area that day was pregnant but I think she could have been resupplying the breakfast bar rather then eating her breakfast first. As far as the pool if there was one at the place we stayed it was well hidden because we never found it."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is new and modern. Rooms were the right size and quiet. Only suggestion would be adding a meat option to breakfast to go with the scrambled eggs served daily. We would stay here again"

"Overall a wonderful cabin that I would recommend and stay in again. The cabin wasn’t cleaned when we arrived, but Jason was responsive and got someone out there within a couple of hours. Mixups happen. Cabin was very clean and beds are firm but comfy. Internet was terrible and we couldn’t stream some days at all (tried resetting router and Internet and all that). Probably needs a speed upgrade. I know people have complained about this for years on reviews so I will chime in too … please put a ladder on the dock. It’s very hard to get out of water unless you are young and strong. Cabin shares some amenities like kayaks and paddleboat with next door, and guy renting there said there are two pontoon ladders behind the house that haven’t been installed. I loved staying here and hope we can do so again. Oh, it gets very dark here at night, like dark as in you can’t see anything, and I didn’t turn the lights on when I went to the car three feet from the porch, and a black bear was in the garbage can and scared the bejesus out of me. I literally was five feet away and would have walked into it if I had gone to the back of the car. So that was fun! When you go out at night put on the lights and be careful."

Douglas Lake Waterfront Estate

"We stayed here for a weeklong family reunion. The house had plenty of room for all of us. We had our coffee on the porch each morning overlooking the lake, swam and fished off the dock each day. The house was clean and on a very quiet street.The location was central to lots of fun things to do. We visited the Bush's baked bean store, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, rode the mountain coaster, and more. There are a few steep steps to get into the house and a lot of steps to walk down to the lake (one could drive to the lake if the steps are too much). This was not a problem for any of us, but just something to keep in mind if mobility is an issue for anyone in your group. Kevin was great to deal with. We would stay here again."
