Easy access to the Alabama Hills and Whitney Portal. Even if you weren’t able to score permits for Mt. Whitney you can at least do a 6-7 mile round trip hike to Lone Pine Lake. It’s gorgeous! Plenty of eateries around town and some interesting attractions in Lone Pine. All in all we highly recommend Darlene’s place! "
