Had a brilliant stay. Hotel in perfect central area, within a very short walk of the tube station. Lots of restaurants and cafés nearby, close to shops. Our plug sockets stopped working shortly before we had to leave for an event, and the front desk sent an electrician to fix it within five minutes which meant we could still do our hair. Excellent service all round and will stay again!
I have been staying at the StGiles for years and the location is superb. The hotel is a little tired and overpriced but then its London :-). Serves a good purpose but dont expect luxury

Conveniently located near theaters, but the walls are thin and throughout the day and night. I was disturbed by doors openings, people talking in halls, construction work, and street traffic.
Beds are extremely uncomfortable, and my room was bare bones at best.

I loved that it was only a short 7 minute (I walk slow) walk to the Tottenham station which had the Elizabeth Line to the airport. There was a Sainsburys and a Boots very close. The restaurant that was open very late had decent food and good milkshakes. However, walking in the front door I realized there were steps to carry luggage up (by now I had an extra bag) and no helpers. The front desk areas are nice but the man at the desk said he upgraded our room and I am pretty sure if that was an upgrade I would never want to stay there again. Oddest space I have ever stayed in in 40 years of travelling. Carpet wasn't clean. Bathroom was a throwback to maybe the 70s and not updated at all. The views from the bedroom window and the odd little sitting room window were great though from the ninth floor. They did let my daughter stay an extra hour or so for 10 pounds which was helpful since my flight was earlier than when she needed to leave. The place has potential if someone actually one day reconfigures the oddball rooms and changes the carpet and paints the walls and renos the bathrooms. I still wonder how our room could have been an upgrade but I was too tired to bother asking to see another room.
Good location, decent breakfast, good hot water. Possibly the most awkward, badly laid out, dysfunctional and uncomfortable room I have ever stayed in. Very poor value for money. Never again!
I liked the area & the convenience. The staff was always courteous & lovely. The hotel is old, and while the lobby area is welcoming and roomy, the rooms themselves are tiny. Not the kind of hotel you'd spend extra time at, as there just isn't much space. But we were there in London to sight-see & see friends, so it was perfect & affordable for us. I'd stay there again!

Room was small but worked for two! Clean, hot showers and walkable to the tube, shopping, dining - would certainly not hesitate to stay again 🇬🇧🎉😀
This hotel was simply the best! The staff went above and beyond to myself as I had taken a tumble n at the neurology hospital and the provided me with a wheelchair and there kindness was amazing highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back to stay again! ❤️
The room was small but comfortable. The directions to the room were absent but we found it. It was quiet and close to shops and restaurants and if we had any extra time in London it was convenient to the British Museum and easy transportation to the rest of London. The concierge was very helpful in pointing us to the Elizabeth Line to the airport. It was extremely convenient.

Great location and super helpful staff. The building is in the process of a much- needed renovation. Toilet and AC were having problems. The staff responded quickly but the age of the equipment was obvious.

Lovely hotel located well rooms a little on the small side but everything we needed
I may be bias: I have stayed there many times. Just ordered a general room and they gave me an older suite. More room and air conditioning. You could close the windows. Generally there is much noise on the outside....not a problem with the AC. Staff friendly. They are remodeling many rooms isolated no noise near my room. For the price, I would recommend.

Average hotel. Lots of people coming and going who aren’t actually staying there “visiting” other guest. There is no security in the lifts so anyone can get to your floor. Loud noises coming from other rooms. It seems to be a party hotel. Stay here only if you have no other option.
Great location in the heart of London. Excellent access to the British Museum, transportation, other attractions. The hotel is a bit dated but a renovation is underway. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and very good with suggestions for activities and restaurants.

The rooms are too small. If you are more than 1 people do not stay at a 1 bed room. Staff is really nice and polite. The hotelmis clean and well located.
Building is a little dated and hotel roons could perhaps do with a bit of freshening up.

To be fair the hotel is under renovation, but I placed my reservation 3 months in advance and was placed in an outdated room on an out dated floor. Concierge service is very good. Check in staff are not the most welcoming. Casino is horrible and they did not provide any house keeping during my stay. Great water pressure and hot water in shower. Be careful of the sink, it will splash you right at the worst time, after getting dressed and rushing out the door.

Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Our room was a bit tired and small
This property is in an excellent position for visitors to London. Close to the theatre district, close to a tube station, short walk to Covent Garden and Oxford Street. Rooms are small but clean and have all you need. Staff in all areas are friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Room very basic and not even a bottle of complimentary water. I had to go to bar to buy water at £4.50 a bottle. Also breakfast £15 per person and not great selection of fruit cheese hams etc. also no shampoo or conditioner in the shower
Really great location for central London. It is shame that we weren’t visiting post renovations as it would be nice to enjoy the hotel in a newer state and without the construction noise. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. This will be a first choice when we next return. Thank you.
Place was pretty convenient for transportation. Lots of places to eat around the hotel, which is what we liked. Room is super tiny, and not a lot of space. Room is a bit outdated compared to when walking inside the building. Another thing, people are really loud on the street throughout the night.

It is what it is for the money, could do with a redecoration in the rooms and perhaps a few more towels, but i understand a refurb is going to happen. The Hudson bar was great, good bar meals! Great position for Theatre land etc. Gave an average rating as could be better but pleasant enough. DON’T buy the water/snacks in the lobby- it’s cheaper in the Sainsbury local store across the road.
