"The room was nice, clean and there was air conditioning. The door to the fridge dragged on the carpet - maybe it could be elevated a bit to make it easier to open and close. It was small and well-appointed. The bed was OK, kind of soft for us. But it was a nice room."

"The beds were comfortable, room was large and clean. Lobby is nice, they had full breakfast but we didn't partake. Evening bar as well though we did not partake in that either. Pool was nice though the pool room smelled bad to me. Over all a nice stay"

"We've stayed at Grass Valley Courtyard Suites several times, especially when we're in town for shows at the Center for the Arts. It's become our go-to place to stay whenever we're in Grass Valley. The rooms are always clean, spacious, and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the peaceful courtyard makes it a relaxing place to unwind. The location is excellent, with easy access to downtown and local restaurants. We always enjoy our stays here and look forward to coming back."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Stay! The National Exchange Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully restored, elegant, full of character, and one of the most charming places I’ve ever stayed. What truly made this an unforgettable experience, though, was the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shoutout to the front desk team for their warm hospitality and professionalism—they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff also deserves recognition. Whether it was brunch or dinner, the service was exceptional. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making every meal a great experience. It’s rare to find a place where both the property and the people are equally outstanding. Thank you to everyone at the National Exchange Hotel for making our visit so memorable. I can’t wait to come back and will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nevada City!"
