"My husband and I have stayed here a few times, even before it was Sunset Haven. The view is always amazing, the building is quiet and there is a private balcony. This property is probably less than 2 miles from Depoe Bay. Check in, even without an onsite office, was extremely simple. My only complaint is the bed. It was way too firm. I didn’t sleep well on it. My husband slept ok, but not great. When you pull into the parking lot it’s a bit confusing because a large part of what was formerly the parking lot is a construction zone. Stay to the right and pull up to the last building to the far right. There is a small sign on the railing with the name on it as well as a phone number to call. Call the number and they will give you a number for the key box. The key box contains two room keys. There is no daily service for your room, but they left enough towels for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed our stay."

"The host was exceptionally responsive. That was a really big benefit. Everything was clean. The living room furniture was not comfortable. The couch is a hide a bed, so we expected it to be utilitarian. The two chairs recline, but are way ready to be given to Goodwill and upgraded to a couple comfy alternatives. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the living room since we were at the beach, so not really an issue for us. The beds were firm. Pillows were great. The unit is well situated to the beach view but has very high bushes between the deck and the beach that block a full view. The hot tub above us is situated above the best place to sit and enjoy the beach views. Unfortunately, when the guests got in and out of it, they completely soaked us. That is an easy fix by running a sub floor and drain. We were pretty upset about getting deluged by it. The unit has huge bedrooms and great bathrooms. The kitchen and living room are small. This is not a two family unit unless you are very close to each other. We initially were going to have another couple join us, but they weren’t able to swing it. We were relieved a bit as it would have been very close quarters for 3 days. The neighborhood is lovely and there is a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot right there. Open Wed-sun. Overall, it was fantastic. With just my wife and pup, it was really comfortable. With taxes and fees, it was much higher in cost than it should be, but that’s the way of things now."
