Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town by IHG

"I stayed in the Suite at Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town, and it was truly remarkable. The traditional courtyard is gorgeous, quiet, and feels like a peaceful haven—yet it’s just a 5-minute walk to everything in the ancient town. The suite itself is top-notch: comfortable, spacious, and beautifully designed with local character.From the moment I checked in, the staff's warmth and hospitality were incredible. Unfortunately, a bad hit of altitude sickness meant I was in no condition to enjoy the room or the property the way it deserved. I had to cut my trip short and head straight back to Singapore.You really see what a hotel is made of when things go wrong like that. Instead of hiding behind fine print, the front desk team stepped up with real empathy. They waived the remaining nights of my suite on the spot and promptly confirmed the cancellation for my prepaid booking with Expedia so I could get a refund. If you want genuine, heart-led hospitality in a great location, this is the place to stay. I will vouch for them anytime, and whenever I make it back to Lijiang, I’ll be staying right here."

"Such a nice place to stay. The guest house is really beautiful. A very nice entryway with a yard full of nice plants and flowers. The hosts and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of suggestions about the old town and surrounding villages. They helped us as well finding and organizing the ressources for travelling around to traditional villages and the Snow mountain park. A huge thank you to Roxana and Leo for the wonderful experience."

"We had a pleasant stay. The only issue is that this facility is not easily accessible. When we arrived, we had to walk down a long stairway to get to the lobby. Besides that, everything is fantastic!"

"We were there by the mid-autumn festival. They share a barbecue with all the guest. Staff was very nice. The room is clean and have a very comfortable bed. Just to let you know. The taxis drop you in the entrance of the city. Then you should walk to the hotel. When we arrive. I text to the hotel. They immediately send staff to pick us up."

"Breakfast was traditional, but not on property had to walk to other property to eat, short walk, no safe in room to hold items, no iron, as stated 1 minutes walk to old town, property is in old town , had to call to find location, they came and walked us to property, that's why 4 stars , and local person said they have free shuttle to airport, he asked for me and had free shuttle ride the day I left ,"

"All of the great reviews are real. The staff is very helpful and Amy’s help with our planning was amazing. We even had to leave our power banks at the airport (non CCC) and she got us one delivered to the hotel in a few hours. The hotel’s location is very quiet, but also only a few steps away from the busy old town. It was a perfect combination for us."

"place looks beautiful! we booked a suite with one bed room! it is a one bedroom house with yard! the place looks very nice! however, the back yard door is open from outside, people can come to house inside yard from outside this back door!"
