"The hotel is basic, but clean and good for one night. Air conditioning was functioning perfectly. Breakfast needs at least 1 gluten free option and the staff need training on gluten free requirements. The main issue with our stay was the swimming pool. Nowhere on the listing did it say the pool is open to the public. This meant the pool was extremely busy and it was impossible to find a sun lounger or even a space to sit."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Lentegí?
The best area to stay in Lentegí is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main square, Plaza de la Iglesia.

Lentegí is a small, traditional white village located in the Lecrín Valley. The village centre is compact and easy to navigate on foot, with narrow, winding streets that open onto charming plazas. You'll find a few local shops, a couple of traditional eateries, and the village church here. It's an ideal spot for those seeking an authentic Andalusian experience away from the bustling coast.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre particularly appealing. It offers a chance to experience local life, enjoy quiet evenings on a terrace with mountain views, and use it as a base for exploring the surrounding natural beauty, such as the nearby hiking trails. The pace of life here is slow and relaxed, great for unwinding.

For those who appreciate the convenience of being close to amenities while still enjoying a rural setting, properties just on the outskirts of the main village also offer excellent options.
When is the best time to go to Lentegí?
The best time to go to Lentegí is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasantly warm and the crowds are smaller.

During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, which are great for exploring the natural beauty of the area. The Mediterranean climate provides plenty of sunshine without the intense heat of summer, making outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the nearby villages much more enjoyable. You'll also find it easier to book quality accommodation and enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will particularly appreciate these times of year. The mild weather is ideal for leisurely walks through the olive groves and orange orchards, enjoying al fresco dining, and discovering the quiet charm of the Andalusian countryside. The spring brings blooming wildflowers, while autumn offers beautiful colours and the olive harvest season.

For solo travellers seeking a tranquil retreat or an active break, the shoulder seasons offer the great balance. You can enjoy the hiking trails of the Sierra de la Almijara, Tejeda y Alhama Natural Park in comfortable conditions, or simply unwind by a pool with stunning mountain views.
