Cozy, moody, historic, haunted (supposedly) with the nicest staff and the most comfortable rooms. The shower has lots of really hot water and great water pressure. The rooms were quiet, the food was delicious. Walking distance to the Leadville train, shops, restaurants, and bars. What an unexpected treat! Ask the for a print out of all the haunted rooms! Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We loved everything about it. It was so clean and perfect. Be aware, there are no elevators. They do intend to add them next summer. Parking was not an issue. It is a comfortable hotel with very interesting & historical aspects to it. If visiting I would stay there again, even though it is not a modern hotel. The staff is great. This was our second stay and again, the highlight of our road trip. The staff is great, the quirky historic building is a delight for antique and history lovers and the location is fantastic. The hotel’s restoration is beautiful and the touches in each room make it a much more special stay than you can find at a typical hotel. There is no AC, but we were comfortable with a fan in the window. The bar and restaurant are top notch and deserve their own 5-star review.
