"I've stayed at Ashoka Hostel before. If you are a budget traveler, I can't recommend this place enough. I needed a cheap place to stay while getting my visa updated last year. So I stayed here again. I stayed during the May holiday this time, which meant the price was more than $44 a night, but it was still a bargain. If you are looking for a safe place to sleep and clean up, this is it. I didn't have a refrigerator this time, but it was okay. The rooms are super-tiny. But it didn't matter to...

"Very convenient location, super close to the MTR station and shopping malls. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there's free dispensable cold water available which was great. The room was very small but it was enough for what I needed and most importantly it was clean. Only negatives is the shower could do with a lightbulb as it was very dark and other guests can be quite loud sometimes."

"I have a well welcome from bell boy Kenny, while I’m doing the check in , he offer my old uncle a card to gent if he needed, he will also reminder my elderly to bring more cloths cox the weather is cold. He indeed a very helpful and caring staff . And Joyce and miko helping us with smooth check in , they reminded the housekeeping to keep and eyes on us cox we got elderly check in. I’m very thankful to 3 of them especially, let us a pleasant and warm stay. "

"The room was very clean and the ladies were very attentive to our needs. We were impressed with our concierge Raymond Woo who listed to our needs for excursions on our own. We wanted to take in Hong Kong with local transportation such as the metro and Ferry. He gave us the exact routes to Victoria peak and we were able to view the beautiful sunset. We had lunch at the restaurant he recommended and it was very tasty with excellent service. We loved it so much that we returned the next evening to try Korean barbecue…again so delicious and delightful. Raymond gave us helpful tips such as where to view the light show in the evening and where to buy luggage. The following morning we wanted to go to Church and also to view the Buddha. So he directed us to the the bus system, subway, and the tram. Coming down from the tram, we had a beautiful view of the full moon on the horizon. It was truly spectacular. The instructions Raymond provided were exact and the journey was seamless. Raymond provided outstanding service with respect and kindness. We are so grateful to him for assisting us to have an incredible experience in Hong Kong. "
