"I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into.
The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend."

"We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct."

"Was harassed by the owner after leaving the property with strange text message. We tried to open only window fire escape on a first floor property in the kitchen and a pain of glass broke. No signs in place to say don’t open window. When meeting the owner on the day of leaving she was aggravated towards us complaining of us not answering the phone and not watering her plants - not sure why we’re expected to water her plants or answer the phone while driving. She continued to tell us that the...

"The staff were polite and helpful. Plenty of choices regarding meals. The room could of been cleaner regarding cobwebs around the blind and lights in the bathroom. When requesting clean towels it was noted that the dirty towels were just folded and put back on the bed."
"If you have the chance, take the cabin! It’s so nice to have your own backyard, with a spa and furniture outside, you really feel like home.
We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The staff is really nice and smiling!
Would totally recommand! It’s close to any hikes + we saw a few bikers too!"
"The hotel was in a perfect location only downside our room was so hot 🔥 when we said about it they said yes that room tends to be hot next time tell them you don't want that room! Also there was a large hair in amongst the toast we didn't complain at breakfast but on checking out said and was told if we had said you could have had something free off breakfast menu! Wouldn't stop us going back though ."
"The room was clean only slight negative was the extractor fan in the bathroom was slightly noisy. Parking was fine and we were able to park late morning and then check in late afternoon and not try find parking in Bowness which was helpful. As anyone that had checked out that morning had gone. The Breakfast was lovely and good selection."
"Second time staying at the Daffodil Hotel, lovely location, clean, comfortable beds, good shower, staff exceptionally friendly whilst remaining professional and very helpful, restaurant food excellent, breakfast excellent with good choices, overall I find this place pretty much perfect!"
"We love this hotel and its' location. Our main criticism didn't affect our stay, it's just that it is rather tired in places. Everywhere downstairs and the landing was perfect. Our bedroom furniture was very tired and the carpets had some permanent marks. The outside of the property is also very tired, a lot of paint is flaking and the gardens aren't as well maintained as they could be, lots of weeding needing to be done. It is a lovely quirky hotel and it's a shame these things let it down a little."
