I went in search of meadows with purple flowers among the orange poppies and was rewarded with this ~ a ring of yellow mustards. And a contrasting sky with rain clouds to the south. 

Due to the recent winter rains in Southern California, hillsides are bursting  with colors of wildflowers. These hills especially are covered with mostly the poppies-California Flower. Soon the hills will turn brown unless we get more rains. Visitors are flocking to these hills by the thousands these past few weeks to witness this amazing phenomenon!

« The host provided very easy to follow instructions on how to get to the campsite. We stayed at Crown View, one of the domes. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with how tidy everything was at the site. An added surprise of an outdoor sink with soap and a sponge to wash up at the site was cool. I loved the hidden campfire location tucked in the rocks with two Adirondack chairs to relax in. The interior of the dome was nice and toasty when we arrived, it was high 80’s outside, so we...

« What a cool and unique concept - glamping is a far reach as glam has no part in the Stargazer experience, at least for us. I should have known as soon as the signage was out of date driving in to find a path towards Rock Bottom that this would only be the beginning of an eventful night. Be wary of having a vehicle with clearance any smaller of an SUV as my stock Honda Civic was just barely able to handle the dirt roads in this campsite.
