Right in the middle of a riverside rain forest and private gardens with beautiful flora and fauna all around, yet only five minutes away from downtown Fortuna, this is Casa del Bosque. Great view of the Arenal Volcano, ideal for families or groups of friends. As part of a gated community is very quiet, wide, and safe and it has different environments within the house to enjoy with all the necessary amenities to spend a very comfortable, joyful, and pleasant stay. Nature and comfort await for you.

Sturdy and very clean home a little ways from downtown La Fortuna. Very quiet and well-maintained in a safe neighborhood monitored by security. It can be a little difficult to find but host’s directions were helpful.

Great house! We stayed with three generations of our family and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean, well-equipped really nice house a short drive from La Fortuna. Loved the covered patios on the first and second floors! Lots to do and see in La Fortuna!

Our group of 8 stayed comfortably in this modern 2 story home. The air conditioned rooms kept us comfortable and sleeping well. The bathrooms were spacious, only difficulty was operating the shower controls to get a warm experience. Overall a nice home in a pretty setting

The house is absolutely spic and span clean and has all the comfort needed to adapt yourself to the hot and humid environment. Television sets with all features! Pablo is very attentive before arrival! But you do need a high weel car to manage the entrance.

Pablo was very good at communication and answered all questions promptly. The check in process was seamless and the home was stocked with all necessary items. We were all delighted with the shampoos, lotions, soaps and laundry facilities. There is a sitting area downstairs and upstairs which allows for individual space and one bedroom is well equipped to sleep children. The air conditioning is very welcomed, worked very well and was quiet. You need to really like very firm beds (was hard for some to sleep) and not mind constant neighbourhood dogs barking(day and well into the evening). It is a great location and we booked tours through Jacamar and they picked us up at the home. That was a wonderful bonus and we had great tours.

Wonderful experience!
I feel I was very fortunate in choosing La Fortuna as our home base and this house was a perfect fit for what we wished to do. I had thought perhaps there was a little exaggeration in the description of possibility of seeing sloths, toucans, etc from the deck. I apologize! We did indeed spot them as well as iguanas as we had our coffee sitting there. I have absolutely NO complaints! It was still a wonderful experience for all of us. I hope to return someday and would feel fortunate to spend the time at Casa del Bosque.

We had everything we needed for a great 3 night stay, the property was more beautiful than the pictures suggested. Close enough to town for ease of meals and groceries but nice and quiet at night with a great deck to enjoy nature. Access to the condo pool was a great perk.

What can I say about the Case Del Bosque. It is truly amazing in every aspect. It is a villa for your family with all nice amenities that you can think of. Location is close to the town and feels like a dream. We enjoyed our stay as a family and felt we needed to stay more nights here. It felt like our own house while we stayed, the views outside are great especially when you are having morning coffee from the huge balcony upstairs. Bedrooms/bathrooms are super clean. We felt safe due to gated community setting. When we checked in the evening while it was dark, the watchman helped us locate the house. We would definitely come back if we ever visit Costa Rica.

Gorgeous house in beautiful setting
The property owner contacted us well in advance with detailed information about how to locate the house and how to get into the house. It is super helpful to have this information early and with clear details--THANK YOU! (*Do* be sure to use the property owner's specific information about locating the house.) The house is a very nice, modern, beautiful house with plenty of beds, furniture, and kitchen materials. It is surrounded by gorgeous trees and plants. The porches are wonderful for relaxing. The house is in a gated neighborhood which makes it feel secure. While there are other houses nearby, we were not distracted by the neighbors or others in the neighborhood. Only 2 complaints: (1) When we arrived there was a bowl of dried oatmeal in the sink that had attracted a bunch of tiny crawling bugs and we had to get that fixed right away; fortunately, we found some bug spray in the cabinet to the right of the washer/dryer; (2) the driveway is very, very steep which makes it difficult to see as you pull in and pull out onto the road--there's not much the owner could do about this, though. We thoroughly enjoyed our time--the house is excellent and we would recommend this place to anyone staying near La Fortuna. We really appreciated the excellent communications with the hosts. THANK YOU!

La Fortuna Getaway
We loved our stay in La Fortuna. The town was friendly and had a unique Costa Rican flavor and intrigue. The home was everything that the photos indicated and more. The furnishings and the modern finishes were tasteful and well done. We loved watching the wildlife from the upstairs balcony and listening to the sweet serenading of the stream that is adjacent to the property. The grounds were well manicured, and the home is well maintained. The kitchen contained everything we needed for our memorable stay in La Fortuna. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home. Just outside town, so it’s really quiet. Friendly neighbors and security guard. Great location in proximity to the town and tourist attractions. We saw a sloth in the backyard along with frogs, birds, cows, geckos, and other fun critters. Modern appliances and decor, pool and common area are easily accessible. The river in back is visible from upstairs balcony. Communication was great with Pablo. Answered all questions and was always friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities in the kitchen. The room AC’s worked great and the bathrooms were very nice. We had great communication throughout which made our stay so comfortable and relaxing. It is a great location close to town too!

Convenient for our short stay
Pros: Good location close to town and all the activities we participated in. Spacious and accommodating with bedrooms for all the kids. Host was very responsive with communicating and resolving issues that arose. Cons: The slip guard on the stairs was extremely abrasive to bare feet. The water in the downstairs shower kept fluctuating from hot to cold during every shower. The driveway access is poorly designed and was made more difficult to enter from the neighbors large utility truck parked across from the entrance. The same neighbor would consistently leave their dogs out barking unattended(no fault of the host)
