Equally magnificent Haleakala crater view on front walkway. The Kealia Resort is a legal vacation rental condominium and IS NOT on the Minatoya List to be converted to long term housing. Kealia is the perfect quiet, private resort condominium for honeymooners, couples, seasoned travelers...anyone! Next to the Kealia Nature Preserve, so no buildings for three miles to the northwest. Totally remodeled, in August of 2017 with all new kitchen cabinets, backsplashes, Silestone quartz countertops throughout, new sinks, kitchen, faucet, refrigerator, showerhead, linens, towels, kitchen utensiles, etc. We also repainted the entire unit. It's been professionally decorated with bamboo flooring, all stainless steel kitchen appliances (including a new 2023 whisper quiet dishwasher and high-end furniture and furnishings throughout, stripped and resealed tumbled marble tile in kitchen and bath, tub, vanity, vessel sink, huge, full-sized separate washer/dryer in the unit so you don't spend your vacation drying 2 beach towels at a time and totally updated to reflect more of a serene, romantic modern tropical feel. Our photos of the unit are updated in August 2017 after a remodel and show exactly what you will see when you arrive, with no surprises. We have a free state-of-the-art secured N+ wireless router for simultaneous video streaming/gaming on multiple devices like smart phones, computers or iPads, etc. The unit is fully stocked with EVERYTHING most people would want or need from all beach gear to spices, cooking utensiles and ALL paper and cleaning supplies, including those for the washer, dishwasher and bath/shower. We haven't forgotten anything! Both the living room and bedroom TV are hooked up to Spectrum cable and the bedroom TV has a digital over the air antenna if the cable goes down. In 2022 we even got a new high quality Sterns and Foster mattress and adjustable base with wireless remote control head and foot raising/lowering capabilities. My husband and I spent 9 days here and it was perfect for the two of us. It is a quiet area, which we really appreciated, but centrally located to get anywhere on the island easily. The condo was clean, bed was very comfortable, unit is very quiet (top floor is a plus), stocked with anll the necessary kitchen items and we really appreciated the sweet welcome basket. The view is amazing and we enjoyed a lot of time out on the lanai. A farmers market, shave ice stand and bakery are a quick walk down the beach and we frequented them throughout the week. Sandy and Frank's condo was the perfect place to start our Honeymoon vacation in Hawaii! We didn't want to stay at a resort with so many other people especially around the holidays. This condo was the perfect spot for us! It's in a great location in terms of exploring the West coast and road to Hana and the beach was beautiful! You could go for a nice long walk during sunrise or sunset - it's not too busy especially after visiting the busy Waikiki beach! We enjoyed reading on the beach chairs provided by Frank and Sandy! We were lucky to see a whale swimming by quite close too! My husband and I enjoyed the views and meals we prepared to eat out on the private lanai! It was easy to cook or barbecue there! Other residents/guests in the condo building were also very friendly! We appreciated the thoughtful welcome package from Frank and Sandy with yummy local treats! The bed is superbly comfortable. The view was spectacular. I mean you are truly so close to the ocean and sparkling clean beautiful beach you feel you could almost reach out and touch it. My mother recommended this specific location in Kihei. She loves the old-school vibe of this part of the island. My husband and I would prefer a more current vibe. The unit is very nice inside. Our hosts thought of everything that one may need. Very comfortable furniture, including the king-size bed. The view and sound of ocean out our windows is breathtaking. We are right on the beach. We face west, so the sunset is visible nightly. It’s a 30 minute beach walk/10 minute drive to businesses. We thought we wouldn’t need a car, even though there is a parking place on site. Wish we had rented one. Luckily, we had many friends also visiting who could ferry us around in their cars when we needed it. Also, we used Uber quire a bit. This was a learning experience. Our hosts went out of their way to make it the best it could be. Even bringing us more coffee pods on request. ##### Elizabeth T. Paradise Found was the absolute perfect place for our quiet Christmas getaway. The condo is small but feels spacious with the way it is set up. The decor is clean but comfortable and homey.
