Spacious 3 bedroom oceanfront condo suite

Space for the entire family or send them down to the pool or beach while you relax with a book and look out at the ocean.

Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. 3 bedrooms 3 bathroom. Master bedroom has its own private view deck. Bedrooms #2 and #3 have a queen bed and a twin pull out sofa bed. Large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. Extra-large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool/beach towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer. Really, just hit the grocery store and you are set for the week!

General Info: The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan. Amazing views, great beach!

We had a great week at sunset beach! The beach is wonderful and the grounds are lovely. The condo has one of the best views in the whole complex. We saw whales from the lanai and turtles on the beach, which were some of the highlights. Cons:

Fantastic trip with friends

The unit was great, good location right on the beach with a park adjacent. We are all dog people and miss our pets when away, we were able to get our fix everyday with all the dogs that visit the park. Would visit again.

Nice Stay for large family

The property and grounds were great for our family. The condo was quite outdated but did the trick just fine. The view was fantastic. Dryer & AC were broken but fixed quickly and communication was good. Rooms were small to put kids with parents but we made it work. Location was great.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the view was phenomenal, the pool and hot tub were a wonderful amenity, and everything provided in the condo was accurate to the description provided. The location was close to so much in Kihei — go try the cinnamon roll place down the street *chef’s kiss* One suggestion someone in our group made was for them to get high top bar tables for the balcony so you can catch the view without the balcony guard rail in the way. They provide a starter kit of toiletries and “paper products” which was unclear if that meant we got one roll of toilet paper for a week and then needed to provide for ourselves. We did buy some just in case which we didn’t need and left there so I would suggest to anyone to wait to buy that type of thing until you absolutely need it. Walmart and Safeway aren’t far. There was a nice community of people we met at the pool/hot tub that are there yearly. Great way to get suggestions on stuff to do.

Tired property

The grounds, view and location are great. The photos provided make the interior look better than it is. The carpet and sofa are stained in places, there are areas with peeling wallpaper, there is evidence of water damageon some walls near ceiling. The mirror in the dining room is broken near the floor and held together with black tape. The condo was not clean upon arrival. The floors were not vacuumed or mopped. Counters didnt look particularly clean. We had to request another cleaning. They cleaned the next day and did a very good job but we shouldn't have had to ask. One balcony was totally blocked off with plastic because they were doing exterior work rendering it useless. The view from the main balcony was amazing.

All said, relaxing, inspiring and would visit again.

The location of the unit was incredible, the views, layout, lanai all what we were hoping for and we truly enjoyed our week's stay. Thank you for having beach chairs and an umbrella. I will say the grounds were well maintained and the landscape and pool teams were friendly and on top of everything. Our opportunity has to do with guest reception and a person representing (you) who has very little "customer service" in her bones- truly very abrasive and uncaring. The other opportunity was basic cleanliness. Dust on the wall art, under the beds (like a throw blanket), the drawers, ceiling fans, every corner and baseboard, glass cabinets (not sure the contents have ever been washed). would have appreciated a Swiffer or something similar as well as Ajax and a sponge. Notes moving forward, the coffee pot is not a match for the coffee maker and to "work" the coffee maker, you needed to put one of the trivets under the pot during the brew process. Also, the ironing board is MIA. We feel the renovation you are completing (flooring) enhances the property and adding a Swiffer or similar would assist with sand and basic cleanup. You do have a terrific setup and again, the views were both relaxing and inspiring. Your 3-bedroom/3-bath unit was perfect, spacious and quiet. Our comments regarding the cleanliness is something the cleaning team should be aware of. Others that gathered this week at the Maui Sunset pretty much felt the same.

Great place to stay for families!

We had a group of 6 adults and 2 babies and this was a perfect property to stay at right in the middle of Maui! Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom, which was very nice! So close to everything we wanted to do and the property and view was gorgeous!

Great condo

This condo was great for the six of us ladies spending a week in Maui. Centrally located so that it was easy to get anywhere on the island. Only thing to note is that the fold out couches are very uncomfortable so you shouldn’t count on anyone sleeping on them. We had to put extra blankets and cushions down to make them useable for sleeping. The condo is good for 6 people only if they are ok sleeping with someone else.

The condo was very clean, comfortable and it was beautifully placed tonsee amazing sunsets while looking out on the green. It had a good view of the pool as well. The parking was perfect, no issues finding a spot each day. I would stay here again, my family was very comfortable with the accommodations.

Maui Sunset - Paradise

We loved it! Our family of 6 adults just returned from a week in paradise. Stepping into Maui Sunset B423 was like walking into a picture. This spacious unit was exactly as pictured. The deck offers amazing views, perfect for viewing Maui sunsets. The bedrooms are large, beds comfortable and the unit was spotless. The kitchen came with a basket of 4 packages of coffee, salt and pepper, plenty of cookware, utensils and plates, etc. but no other essentials like spices, oils, tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. There is one game, Scrabble, we brought our own games but tended to have the most fun with the Scrabble game. The toilet in the master bathroom likes to spit back, so careful when you flush. A welcome basket with information on the area, sign in book, would be a nice touch. The unit does have boogie boards and beach chairs which came in very handy to use at the beach. The lounger on the deck was broken so we unfortunately couldn’t use that. The location was great! Within walking distance for groceries, restaurants, beaches, everything you need! Overall, we definitely recommend this unit. We will be back!

Very beautiful property

We loved the view off the balcony. Every night we enjoyed a beautiful sunset! Location is very peaceful and it’s close to what they call the ‘triangle’ which is a nest of local stores and restaurants. My only suggestion for the property manager is to maybe leave a welcome basket and/or information on places to eat or visit in the area. Updated pictures of the condo would help also. Overall it was a very nice place to stay, I would return!

Family Stay

Property is very nice. Views are stunning, the sunsets are spectacular. This place was very comfortable for 7 of us. Location is laid back and away from the high traffic tourist areas, yet near to everything. They have many activities available right from the pool cabana. We really enjoyed this property. I would have given 5 stars if the condo wasn't sooooo dated.

Amazing view

We enjoyed our stay a lot. We had 6 adults and felt there was plenty of space. Beds were comfy and main living room had plenty of seating. Only thing we didn’t like was the air conditioning switching off every four hours. Sleep was interrupted due to having to turn it back on. Overall I would come back again. Great location!!!

Good location but outdated and rude employees

The unit was very outdated with a 70’s feel. The location was great though. The nighttime security guard with the mullet walks around the property trying to pick fights with guests and has a false sense of authority. He honestly made the stay miserable some nights. He would sit at the pool and make up rules as he went, just so he could feel in power over you as the guest. It ruined any beautiful day we had.

We loved it! Beautiful views. The property is kept very nice! The condo was great! We really loved it. Only a few things we disliked- there were no condiments- only basic salt and pepper. Its a bummer to have to go buy stuff for only a weeks stay. Also there were very few garbage bags, dishwasher and laundry pods. Overall though, it was great!

The condo was just as pictured. We had three couples there for a week and never felt cramped. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The views from the lanai were beyond the advertisement though! The sunset view each evening was the best part of the location.

The residence is fronted by a beautiful green, unending lawn, that includes a public park area, tennis courts, etc. The views of the sunset are spectacular. As promised, there's a lovely pool and lots of things for families traveling with kids. Also good: Location is close to grocery store, family friendly restaurants. All in all, it exceeded our expectations.

2nd time on property

and would come again. Kihei has everything you need, and is central to the rest of the island -- Kahului, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Maalea harbor, Wailea, Wailuku are all within a half-hour drive. Grounds are immaculately kept up; one day, the workers even did a feral chicken round-up. It's right on the beach, and nice when you're missing your pooches to have a dog park right next door to see pups frolic. Condo owners and renters are respectful of each other.
