"I recently stayed at this hotel in Key Largo, and overall, it’s a mixed experience with some clear highlights. The biggest plus is how genuinely pet-friendly the property is. Not just “allowed,” but truly welcoming—something that’s rare and very appreciated. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and calm, perfect for disconnecting and unwinding. Valet parking is not only efficient, but the team is also genuinely kind and helpful—one of the standout aspects of the stay. That said, the property itself feels a bit worn. Not terrible, but definitely showing its age. The overall concept leans heavily toward a “do-it-yourself” experience: you need to pick up your own towels, get your own ice, and handle small things that you’d normally expect to be taken care of in a more full-service hotel. Another downside is the lack of guidance at check-in. No one really explains how the amenities work or what’s available—you’re essentially left to figure everything out on your own. Service overall is average. The staff is polite, but nothing stands out—no real sense of going above and beyond. The beach service, in particular, is almost nonexistent. If you’re expecting to order drinks or food while relaxing by the water, you’ll likely be disappointed. The restaurant is good—solid, enjoyable meals—but not particularly memorable. It does the job without trying to impress. For a stay that cost over $2,000 for three nights, you naturally expect a higher level of service and attention to detail."

"This place is somewhat remodeled but still old. Bathroom door looked like it was on the titanic. Back hallway door did not lock. Breakfast was okay compared to others. Room was spacious. For the money paid, I would not stay here again. "

"Arrived to what looked like something out of a horror movie - almost abandoned building! When we went to the office to check in, no one was there but there was McDonalds food all over the desk and a loud, offensive podcast playing from a phone repeatedly using the F word and N word. Finally a young woman arrived and didn’t apologize or do anything to stop it from playing. She quickly gave us our keys and I asked about the laundry facilities since that was a primary reason for booking. She looked confused but told me there were washers outside under the deck. I asked if they sold soap and she didn’t know! Went to check them out, they were dirty and musty…vending machine wouldn’t work to sell my soap so we said screw it and went to a coin-op laundry down the road. Inside was ok, but coffee machine was broken, we had small roaches in the kitchen at night and moved all our food into the fridge…and to top it all off, the shower didn’t have any hot water. We won’t be back."

"I have nothing to say but wonderful things about Key Largo Inn. The best part is the young lady in the office. She is the friendliest, nicest and most professional person I have met in a long time. She always greets you with the warmest smile. The rooms are impeccable. The cleaning staff is very helpful. Everything is in very close proximity. I will only stay here when I travel to the keys."
