« Worst hotel night ever. The only reason why people should book this hotel is because they have one of the most beautiful onsen in Japan, just on the side of the river. That night, the Typhoon Jebi had just passed over the hotel and when we arrived, there was not power or water anymore. I can’t blame them for that but we had to spend the night in total dark, without bathroom, with nothing to eat and of course no access to the onsen. « Un grand merci au personnel de ce ryokan qui a tout fait pour nous accueillir comme convenu malgré l’absence de notre réservation. Celle ci nous avait bien été confirmée par hotel.com mais apparemment le nécessaire n’a pas été fait auprès de l’hotelier. Pour ce type de logement je ne peux que recommander de réserver en direct. Très joli cadre, logement spacieux, les,bains très agréables et les repas soignés. Je recommande vivement cet hébergement, nous y retournerons bien volontiers. »

« We stayed at this ryokan for 3 nights and we loved it there! It is family driven and has such a lovely and local feeling. Our room was big, authentic and had a really nice onsen. We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. Everything tasted amazing and we loved that the ingredients was local and in season. We also got help for activities. »

« Room is spacious and very clean. It may have been a luxurious hotel but it is now running with little staff and decoration is a bit old-ish. The swimming pool is closed and has not seen water in ages. There are two onsen and they are both good. One is with a sauna and the other one is open air type. Breakfast was good and had a lot of different type of food, but mostly Japanese salty type of food. Hotel needs to be reached by car as it is in the middle of the woods. I liked the room, the...
